Iran reportedly sent ultimatum refusing further talks with Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner and wants different negotiators due to their dishonesty and lack of skill.
Trump: We killed all their leadership. And then they met to choose new leaders, and we killed all of them. We have really... regime change, you know, this is a change in the regime, because the leaders are all very different than the ones that we started off with. I think we can say this is regime change, right?
@it_unprofession@ItsSubmersible Worked in a place where the consultant's advice was blatantly, obviously, awful.
One staff member left the room and resigned the next day.
I thought it would be ignored like an embarrassing one-night stand but the bosses were all for it.
I resigned a week later, lots followed.
We hired a consulting firm to tell us why our profits are down.
They sent three 24-year-olds wearing vests.
They spent two months interviewing us about our own jobs.
Then they put our answers into a PowerPoint presentation.
They charged us $250K for this privilege.
During the final readout, one of them used the phrase synergy optimization without blinking.
I looked around the conference room.
Our CEO was nodding like he just received the Ten Commandments.
The grand conclusion was that we need to increase revenue and decrease costs.
I could've told them that for a gift card to Panera.
But nobody listens to the guy who works here.
You only listen to the guy who flies in on a Tuesday.
I'm updating my resume to include synergy optimization.
It feels like the right move.
BREAKING: Iran has "tightened control" over the Strait of Hormuz and is now demanding detailed crew, cargo, and voyage information from ships seeking safe passage.
Details include:
1. Approvals for ships seeking to pass through the Strait of Hormuz are being handled by the IRGC
2. Tolls to pass through have hit $2 million, mainly for high-value vessels like oil and gas tankers
3. The increase in control signals Iran's "growing grip" on the key trade route
4. Traffic remains limited, mostly involving Iranian or China-linked ships hugging Iran’s coast
Asia's energy crisis is intensifying.
@LynxVaults@KobeissiLetter Yes it is. So what?
They are playing the cards they were dealt & they're doing it quite well so far.
We’re now defining the situation a month ago as some kind of, hoped for, victory.
@KobeissiLetter Iran is charging $2 million a ship to pass through a strait it legally doesn't own. That's not a toll. That's a ransom with a flag on it
@NickDecoteau4@maria_drutska Which they planned for.
It's why they have commanders with complete autonomy to run their areas as they see fit.
It's why so many storage and launch sites are underground & it's why anyone can be the supreme leader at the moment.
@maria_drutska The regime isn't intact, that's like saying taking out Trumps entire staff with Trump and a third of congress is Trumps regime intact, no it's completely gone. Military is basically running country.
You’re basically listing surface-level headlines and calling it strategy, which misses how this actually works. The regime still standing was never the objective, energy prices going up is expected in any Gulf conflict, and Iran lobbing missiles at bases while burning through stockpiles with limited impact isn’t some big win. Meanwhile you’re ignoring the thousands of strikes that degraded their military, hit key nuclear infrastructure, and established air and naval dominance. Refusing a ceasefire and causing disruption isn’t strength, it’s what a country does when it can’t compete conventionally and is trying to drag things out. This isn’t Iran “winning,” it’s Iran absorbing damage and trying to make it hurt enough politically to change the outcome.
@NicoleSganga The administration says that there are no TSA lines anymore as Ice has eliminated the wait, so is this an old photo?
Asking for a friend.
@AaronWtsn69@RepNancyMace You already lost, fool.
You can't bomb the entire country and you need way more troops than you have committed at the moment.
This is a dead end.
Go home, or watch lots of US soldiers bleed out in Iran for absolutely nothing.
I think it’s VITAL that we win this war with Iran and end Iran’s Terroristic Regime. Vietnam, Afghanistan and Iraq don’t even compare to the significance of this conflict. Iran has made it very clear that they want to destroy the USA and that they will do it provided they have the means. They have been working extremely hard towards this end. We can’t afford to allow this regime to survive for the sake of our country and our posterity(children). This has nothing to do with oil. The world & even some in our own country are primarily worried about the economy, oil prices, gas tank prices, cost of living, etc. They are dismissing/overlooking the threat to us.(I’m not saying there won’t be real hardships.) But we are concerned about the safety of our country and our children first. This regime is a significant threat to both. We can’t allow this regime to continue to exist. I believe it’s worth making unpopular choices and even shedding blood if necessary. This is coming from a very concerned Husband, Father, Police Officer and former Marine. I’m going to support President Trump and our Armed Forces and pray that they can accomplish all that needs to be done with absolutely minimal harm to themselves. May God grant wisdom to President Trump and all of our leaders - Democrat & Republican alike.
Just walked out of a House Armed Services briefing on Iran. Let me repeat: I will not support troops on the ground in Iran, even more so after this briefing.
@Juan23456@MPG37685458@RepNancyMace They go back further than 47 years.
The shah was the previous, US installed, tyrant.
They wanted Mossadegh, modern & democratic, but he wanted Iran to control its own oil.
The Iranians have no reason to trust the United States. Leave them alone to sort their own problems.
@MPG37685458@RepNancyMace Iranian people badly want to live in a secular, western society. They have been imprisoned by this regime for 47 years. They have no relationship to the govt whatsoever. A vote in the region would be something like 90-10, with the 10 being family and paid help of the govt.
@Juan23456@RepNancyMace Go in with ground troops and the Mullahs will be the second most hated group in Iran.
America already forced one despotic ruler onto these people and it was a royal fuck up that led directly to the rise of the Ayatollahs.
Don't try to make a bad thing worse.
@RepNancyMace Freeing the Persian people and having a Westernized Iran can play a huge role in securing stability in the middle east and stabilizing the US economy. That's a highly educated population that has essentially been jailed by the regime. The potential is endless.
@BadMCPO@RepNancyMace We did. Unless we were lied to about Midnight Hammer and the prior strikes not requiring ground troops, we’ve eliminated over 90% of their missile launch capabilities.
@BadMCPO@RepNancyMace Why would you think you would be doing the spanking?
The current situation suggests that the US would be better packing up and going home.
You'll be lucky to even be allowed back into your gulf state bases again.
@RepNancyMace Agree, but after 47 years of sponsoring terror, killing Americans, I think it is high time we spanked some Iran ass. Signed, American Veteran (of war too).
@NOELreports It's remarkable how quickly we reached a point where the opinion of the US president is irrelevant and ignored.
Trump has done so much, so fast, to diminish the standing of America.
He was never respected, now he's not even feared.
❗️President Zelensky said the US proposed security guarantees for Ukraine on condition Kyiv withdraws from Donbas and cedes the region to Russia. He warned the move would weaken critical defensive positions and pose broader risks to Ukraine and European security. #Ukraine
Just took a minute to read the MAGA butt-hurt replies, and yep, they confirm my hypothesis as to why they love Trump.
Every one of them is a fucking moron.
Dear MAGA,
We know why you voted for Trump and why you love him. It’s because he’s just like you: fucking stupid.
At least this woman has the stones to admit that, and try to change her stupid fucking ways.
Maybe give that a try.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
@NeilChecking@toddstarnes@ErikPaulson13 Passing a bill that your constituents clearly want seems rather the point, regardless of what they think the other chamber might do.
Senate Republicans never had any intention of passing the Save America Act. And there will likely not be any other votes of consequence between now and the midterms.
Make no mistake, John Thune and his leadership team have betrayed the American people and their president. And they don't care - not one bit. They sabotaged the president's agenda - from day one. Their behavior may likely cost Republicans the House and the Senate. And they deserve to lose.
However, President Trump does not deserve to be impeached and that's exactly what would happen if the Democrats regained control. So, we can't let that happen -- for Donald Trump's sake.
Let's spare President Trump and the First Lady the agony of endless investigations and trumped up charges. Reelect the gutless guttersnipes.
We can deal with the jackassery of Thune and his cowardly band of traitors in 2028.
Our president deserved better. And so did America First voters. We got screwed by the Republicans.
@WhiteHouse Real presidents work with all parties in Congress to craft workable legislation that will pass both houses without drama.
Moron presidents post bullshit videos on twitter to people who get angry but can't change a damn thing.
Welcome to idiocracy.
