@Tesla3324 @task_fortress No, it’s fine. I don’t think that’s narrow-minded, so there is no wrong to forgive. As a Christian myself, I believe it’s important for each soul to decide what religion to believe themselves. Pushing someone to convert is no good, it has to come from their own heart.

@Tesla3324 @task_fortress Does the Japanese word for ‘convert’ has connotations of being inherently coercive, or is it purely a cultural difference? I can’t quite pinpoint the exact difference of view of the term, but aside from some Christians being disrespectful, there seem to be a misunderstanding too.

@dekai_titi @tixid_espi @KishoMoririn The Church has pretty much always believed that ‘’Both the Book of Scripture and the Book of Nature were written by God’’, and as such cannot contradict each other. If contradiction there is, the problem is with the interpretation of men, not with either ‘book’

This is especially true when it comes to characters, since you don't adapt the story to the characters; the characters adapt to the story.

It is the specific kind of relationship He wanted with Abraham and his descendants that needs this highly demanding commitment, but God doesn’t need that relationship. He wants it to exist.

The God of the Bible formed a specific convenant with His people, which is often theologically likened to marriage as an analogy. Is it petty jealousy to expect your spouse to not sleep with others?
