They worked because they were badass women who didn’t hit you over the head every minute that they were women and therefore victims. Both were protecting children and neither bitched about the patriarchy because they had more immediate problems that knew no gender.

Maybe matter curves space by existing it, the something floating in water displaces the water, and space wants to fill that void again, the way water pushes against stuff?
