The crazy thing in the original response is that Toby literally says "Maybe I should try a different approach" in regards to translations but everyone skipped over that because deltarune fans cannot fucking read.

@Lith_Chlor @tarragon111 @inmyidolera Because they are not professionals, that’s why. Specially old translations, some of them were made by a single fan, maybe two. But then we have teams like DeltaArg(i think), they even dubbed Tenna’s voice and the actor has a similar voice range, is so good.

@Lith_Chlor @tarragon111 @inmyidolera Learning any language is hard, always. But Toby doesn’t need to be a multi-language guy, he just need to rely on others. And yes I know the difference between both, but that comes out naturally when a translator do his job. For example, some jokes will be adapted, we all know.

@Lith_Chlor @tarragon111 @inmyidolera Even USA educational system has that clear. Is the same reason why most people here learn english as a second language. Is just easier because of the similarities. The hard thing to learn are the weird exceptions of english, but is not a big deal anyway.

@ng_starlight @inmyidolera Y a pesar de eso, muchos indie devs si se preocupan por globalizar su juego incluso post-lanzamientos ¿por qué? Porque necesitan maximizar ventas, necesitan expandir su mercado, porque no tuvieron la suerte que tuvo Toby Fox. La falta de traducción es el resultado del conformismo

Yo creo que si, siento que lo ponen en un pedestal, no está revolucionando la industria, no está dia de su vida programando la próxima obra maestra que cambiará el paradigma del gaming. No hace mas que otros indie devs y si le va mejor a que muchos.
