@ChaseMit Don’t bother watching this garbage! There’s so much better options of things to watch then this complete waste of time. One of the worse Zombie films I’ve seen since the movie Zach Snyder did.

@EggmanStar94299 @Karn_EX Because its set in the same Universe? Re7 and re8 deviated heavily from the core RE storyline and had no relevancy outside of the title to that of the other entries.

As a reminder, RE7 also had zero characters from Resident Evil (until the last 5 minutes or in notes etc.), largely strayed away from existing BOW/viruses and is credited with saving the franchise.
An RE movie that doesn't traipse all over or rehash game plots sounds good to me.

Resident Evil movie and Weapons director Zach Cregger was interviewed by The New York Times about his reboot. ▪️He's already beaten RE 9 twice. ▪️He is the biggest worshipper of the games, and his movie is not breaking the rules of the games. ▪️This film has a much bigger budget than Weapons, and Cregger was given carte blanche to reinvent RE with this film. ▪️Does not adapt to any specific story from the games, and contains no characters from any of the games.

@aoneNatwo2 @JulieWD4 Geidi is simply an industrialized world where a huge chunk of it is covered in oil, hence Baron's oil bath. Tbh it's primarily industrial waste & insects that inspired it all. The harvesters are modeled after ticks! I could explain in detail, but Twitter limits.

@aftersunfilm @echoesfilmz Watched it with my girlfriend. Nothing good to say. Far too overly sexualized, and so much "Haha! See! Its sexual!" Imagery. The sets looked plastic, the outfits don't match the time, why is Cathy posh? Why does she look rich before she even went to the lindtons? It's all dumb.

@FZscene Calling it a failed reboot is disingenuous and you're just being a dick. It failed because of internal disagreements about creative decision making and the studio didnt think Chloe was a suited director. Doesn't help one of the executives didn't like the Buffy IP.

@PangolinStars @blackironframe @jab50yen Because that’s all the movie has going for it. No one has issues with other characters showing up (see The LEGO Movie), but it can’t come at the cost of an actual story. Nintendo seems more interested in showing recognizable things than making a good movie.

Trust reviews that align with your tastes more. Still, it's statistically more likely that the critic score aligns with the feelings of general audiences over users. Users are extreme.
