The largest pedophilia scandal in the history of the world involves the Catholic Church. They’ve paid out hundreds of billions of dollars to countries worldwide. Why? Not because they are admitting fault later on. Cardinals, bishops, priests, and the hierarchy at the Vatican deliberately knew children were being raped and molested by pedophile priests and the hierarchy purposefully relocated these priests to other areas so that they could re-offend and hurt other children rather than turning them into law-enforcement. They allowed this relocating of child molester priests across the country to happen for nearly a century. So when people make excuses such as, “it was only 100 or 150 bad priests,” they are wrong. The Cardinals, bishops and the Vatican that knew what happened to these poor children and covered up the crime — are just as bad as the actual pedophiles themselves. This scandal goes all the way to the top. You don’t recover from something like this & Catholicism is no longer the lead denomination in Christianity anymore because of it.
