@h_army360 @nocontextEFC Do we want to "survive" or progress? You can't sell your best players for discounted fees and expect the latter.
English

@Scorgeman @nocontextEFC Have we not survived on Tarkowski, Keane and O’Brien for large parts? Not like we brought a replacement in for Jarrad when he was out for a long time. The money would probably have been utilised in other areas.
English

@TacticallyMatt Spent so much money too. Have to win something this season, but I don't think they'd sack him.
English

You've just got to sack him if he goes trophyless after quadruple shouts a few months ago, surely?
Tactically Matt@TacticallyMatt
Fucking hell. Mikel Arteta has done a lot of good in periods, but he might just be a serial loser.
English

@Lively929 @JDGEFC And both didn't win a thing from our constant hoofballs. But rather than putting Ndiaye back out on the left or trying something else, the manager left it the way it was leaving us toothless for the final 10 mins. Didn't lose us the game, but it didn't help.
English

@Scorgeman @JDGEFC Barry enforced change. George our fans were raving about last week wanting more minutes for him
English

@Lively929 @JDGEFC Moyes was happy for Barry and George to win no duels on the left for the rest of the match. Worked really well didn't it
English

@Lively929 @nocontextEFC Wouldn't sell him for anything less than £70m at this point in time anyway. These players don't come along that often, especially for us.
English

@Scorgeman @nocontextEFC See his point but you’re right, total hindsight crap.

@PatricRidge I think our bench has to be used more effectively too though. If we’re serious about Europe we have to have more than 13-14 readily available starting players.
English

@Scorgeman Yes of course there is. That conversation has been had time and time again. Fair to say it's not been perfect.
But Everton need to target stronger, faster and frankly more composed players. Those players also need to understand the club.
English

People love to jump in on Moyes for not making changes, but there's a reason he trusts the guys he starts.
Barry sub was enforced, but George just looked totally lost, after a great little cameo last week.
Matt Jones@MattJFootball
In all seriousness, how bad were the attacking substitutions there? Come on against a tiring defence and you produce that? Don’t even test a third-choice goalkeeper. Pretty woeful #EFC
English

@GraemeMcV @steviemac2010 Always feels like we lose a lot when one of our starting eleven go off. Would have given us legs, sure, but the quality would probably have dropped.
English

@Scorgeman @steviemac2010 Certainly would have gave us legs box to box. Tim /Rohl ideal for me.
English

@Scorgeman I don’t think the manager tells the players which way to play though, the players see where the space is and play it there.
English

@GraemeMcV @steviemac2010 None of those subs would have done a better job than Gana unfortunately. Maybe that’s on Moyes for never using the rest of the squad, but in that game there he got unlucky with injuries and added time
English

@steviemac2010 Can’t believe he left Gana on, looked knackered. Liverpool fresh legs certainly helped them.
English

@Scorgeman Is George isnt playing well in his preferred position then he’s likely going to be even worse on the wing

@TheBlueFrontier I bit disappointed but not at the players. Every one of them worked their tails off. But the decision to move Ndiaye to the right when jones was getting torn to shreds made no sense, McNeil still doesn’t do anything another player can’t do, and George don’t look effective at all.
