I’m pretty excited for the Elden Ring movie tbh. I’ve never been a believer in the whole “if it’s bad, it’ll ruin the IP!” thing. It’ll just be a bad movie. And the game will still be beloved and played on repeat until the end of time

The lore of Elden Ring is better because the game buries it. If it was explained to you, it would lose something.
Difficulty of access is part of what makes the story carry weight.

@MrMordicai To be fair, there is a 6 year gap between them. DS3 had really amazing bosses too. it's just dated compared to what we have now. Dark souls walked so that Elden Ring could run.

Elden Ring is Fromsoft's magnum opus of boss fights, it hard clears Dark Souls 3
This is just main/remembrance bosses here, there's plenty of other bosses that sweep at least half of DS3's roster

@JeanFeliz_ There are so many awesome bosses. I love the cosmic aesthetic that a lot of them have like Renalla, Astel, and the Elden Beast. The arenas you fight them in are amazing too.

I started fromsoftware games back in 2008-9 yet I think Elden Ring boss roster is WAY BETTER than Dark Souls 3 bosses. You can’t play that card with me, and no way in hell Gundyr is a better started boss than Margit LOL.

@PengPengROC It definitely give a lot of missing context in regards to Miquella starting the Haligtree as an act of kindness, but uncovering the pieces to come to that conclusion is kind of the hallmark of Elden Ring.

If they hadn't removed these, it would have allowed more people to have a more positive image of Haligtree and the twins, including Malenia's deleted dialogue

@PiggyKropotkinn Elden Ring just has huge peaks and valleys when it comes to the difficulty. You can coast for quite a while and then get smacked up out of nowhere.

@StonerIntellect @Sifchikito @veloketh The entire goal with the Haligtree that Miquella had was to create a place for the beings that were shunned outside of the Golden Order. His ascension to Godhood required him to strip away the very characteristics that made him care for them in the first place.

@Sifchikito @veloketh I think Trina’s words to us were a warning about how absolute power corrupts absolutely. Him becoming Elden Lord would simply create a new Marika; a slave to the Elden Ring. There is no hope for whomever takes up the mantle

@elbethium @DEXSTR99 Just because you can see influences of gameplay or mechanics from other games doesn't automatically force it into a labeled box. It's obviously influenced by souls games, but it is still its own thing.
