The aftermath of the October 7th slaughter at Kibbutz Be’eri.
101 civilians were killed, 32 taken hostage.
Two years later… the kibbutz still awaits the return of community members’ bodies from Gaza.

Politics of grievance is the phrase de jour with both Starmer & Farage decrying it.
🤔Is there a culture of victimhood?
🤔Has ID-politics flamed tensions?
🤔Can common values unite us?

How DEI became a $14bn industry despite…
👉 Failing those it was meant to help
👉 Impacting meritocracy, men’s mental health, free speech
What should replace DEI ?
What’s a better, evidence-led way to tackle discrimination?

OK. If DEI programmes aren’t fit for purpose, what should replace them?
What’s a smart way to meaningfully tackle discrimination?
After investigating DEI for months - here are some conclusions.
DEI failed because:
1) Too ideological/divisive from the start (with its roots in cultural Marxism)
2) Needlessly alienated white men: calling them inherently racist made DEI training counterproductive (studies of 8m workers showed)
3) Companies wanted the PR hit and virtue signalling rather than doing the hard graft
So, we should ditch DEI, in favour of 'DEO: Do Everything Obvious'.
Two core planks.
1) Recruitment:
- Actively target marginalised students in black, hispanic and white areas when they’re as young as 13 or 14
- Don’t drop entry standards
2) Supporting workers:
- Mentoring and skills training
- Help with life stuff - like child care or looking after an aged parent
- Sessions that bring people together - and emphasise what they have in common
- Employee referral programmes to broaden the recruitment talent pool - and turn this into a virtuous circle
The US Army has deployed a lot of this to great effect.
It’s not got any splashy quotas or instant PR hits, but the data says this is how you make a lasting difference.

It’s hard not to feel cynical about DEI when you see how some of our biggest companies have treated it.
Like Meta.
👉 Days after George Floyd is killed: “Diversity is critical to our success as a company” declared Meta
👉 Ten days before President Trump is inaugurated: Meta cans its DEI programme
And they’re far from being alone.
If companies truly believed in DEI (whatever its manifest flaws and cultural Marxist roots) then surely they’d stick with it (or radically improve it), despite the change in political winds.
What Meta et al have done is merely show that DEI was industrial-level virtue signalling.
… Whilst blowing the moment to introduce meaningful, long-term changes that would actually tackle discrimination - rather than having a showy overnight fling with a deeply-defective DEI they should never have fallen for.

Episode 5 - final - episode of White Men Can’t Work! now out:
👉 DEI’s profound impact on men’s mental health
👉 A female mine worker wishes DEI had never been brought in
👉 A 30-year career wiped out in one second over one word
👉 Are companies are truly abandoning DEI - or sneakily rebranding?
👉 What’s a better way than DEI to genuinely address discrimination?

8 million white in UK say their mental health has been affected because of DEI/diversity schemes.
Because of that persistent anxiety of being one misstep away from losing your job.
👉 So what if some men are suffering?
👉 Well, these DEI schemes - the Harvard data shows - are so divisive they don’t actually make things better for women or minorities.
👉 Men’s mental health is needlessly suffering.

White Men Can’t Work! episode 3 - now on X to watch:
👉 How George Floyd became the moment DEI exploded… but then blew its opportunity
👉 How our biggest companies unwittingly ushered in Marxist-inspired policies
👉 Exposing how NHS clinical psychology training sidelines men’s mental health

Many of today’s younger people have abandoned free speech - what happens if they don’t return?
Edward Skidelsky from @ComAcFreedom cites @epkaufm research:
- British 18-25-year-olds split evenly over whether @jk_rowling should be dropped by her publisher
- Whereas fewer than five percent of those over 50 do
English

Prof Erec Smith @Rhetors_of_York saw that his white male students were self-censoring in class.
He told them not to keep quiet - to speak freely.
But a student told him, “let’s be real here’.

Part of an ongoing trend away from wanting boys - which we really see when parents actually have a choice of gender:
- A US adoption network says 80% of prospective parents want a girl
- A US fertility clinic reported that eight in ten of the British couples who have a gender choice there that’s not available back home choose to have a girl
(From my book, Who Stole My Spear?)

@TimSamuels @BenKentish @LBC If you’re going to use an anecdote at least use one that has a ring of truth to it. Shameful behaviour.

$14 billion a year is being spent on DEI/diversity policies that largely don’t work, I’ve been telling @BenKentish on @LBC.
All the data is revealed in ‘White Men Can’t Work!’ – my new podcast/YouTube series

So the @Guardian wrote a predictably Guardian response to White Men Can’t Work!
But two of their readers didn’t appreciate the “welcome to the club, boys” brush off.
One man wrote of “humiliating' and “hurtful” discrimination - that’s had a “profound and lasting effect on my health”.
