One of the wildest intercept videos I have ever seen. First glowing projectile: very likely a Stunner interceptor launched from David’s Sling, climbing toward the incoming MRBM warhead. Second glowing projectile: the incoming MRBM warhead descending toward the ground, evading the interceptor. Third glowing projectile entering from the right: very likely a Tamir interceptor launched from Iron Dome, approaching the MRBM warhead on a near-horizontal trajectory and successfully destroying it. In fact, you can see the interceptor’s flight path begin with a very shallow climb before reversing and flying toward the ground on a very shallow descent. The trajectory and intercept must have occured at the very limits of the system’s safety envelope. H/T to @Etienne_Marcuz for the video.

About 800 Patriot missiles were used in just three days of fighting in the Middle East — more than Ukraine has had during the entire war, Zelensky said.

What makes Trump’s War different to those we have previously supported: 1. His erratic behaviour and undermining of trust. 2. No case made for strikes in UN or Congress. 3. Confusing public statements of intent. 4. Alignment with Israel 5. Board of Peace his new coalition

@tomfgoodwin It is a strange American habit to shut the blinds on daytime flights. I've even been asked to close them by flight attendants.

Spent 2 hours looking out the window on the plane America really is stunning. If nations were plots of land you could pick, there’s probably no better land on the planet If budget was smaller , France is the very best medium sized plot. New Zealand is also perfect except for remoteness

US European Command green lit the Storm Shadow strike on Russia, per WSJ "The unannounced U.S. move to enable Kyiv to use the missile in Russia comes after authority for supporting such attacks was recently transferred from Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth to the top U.S. general in Europe, Gen. Alexus Grynkewich."

I remember I was visiting Moscow in April 2014, just after Putin had annexed Crimea and invaded Donbas. I was doing training for regional broadcast media organizations. I remember walking accidentally into a meeting of media owners that wasn't meant for me. They were talking about how to survive the clampdown on media's reporting and navigate thr meteorically rising censorship without losing their licenses. I still remember the hushed voices in which these media owners from around the country agreed that "this is insane" and "the whole Crimea thing is crazy" BUT "for now it's better not to rock the boat". I visited the next year too. The owners looked depressed, having lost 1/3 of their revenue in one year. But they still agreed "better not to rock the boat" and "it's a price worth paying to preserve our independent media". 10 years later there's zero independent media in Russia. I just can't not see the parallels with what's happening with US media now. Seems reversible now. But is it.

@TheWarMonitor And also, if they fail with a bunch of MOP, does that then make the job for SF more difficult/impossible due to the amount of damage/debris.

The UK should rescind Trump's state visit to meet the king and privately inform Trump it is because of Vance's denigration of British soldiers.
