USISPF convened a high-level discussion on India’s MedTech ecosystem, focusing on innovation opportunities and the role of digital infrastructure in transforming healthcare delivery. We were delighted to be joined by Sarah Najdek, President Surgery, Asia Pacific of @JNJNews MedTech, along with Mr. @rohitksingh, Former Secretary to the Government of India; Dr. Shubnum Singh, Founder Member, @MaxHealthcare Institute and Governing Board Member of The @HSSC_India, and Dr. Vandana Chawla, Vice President- Academics and Research, @Ujalacygnus, to name a few. The discussion underscored the evolution of policy and regulation to enable industry growth, alongside a strong push on strengthening digital infrastructure, developing a future-ready workforce, and enhancing public health outcomes. Speakers also reflected on the investment climate, healthcare ecosystem, and the role of digital innovation in improving access to care.

USISPF hosted a dialogue at our New Delhi office on tax certainty and dispute resolution, a key issue for India’s Global Capability Centre (GCC) ecosystem. We were honoured to welcome Shri Bhaskar Goswami, Joint Secretary (FT&TR-II), @FinMinIndia, as our keynote speaker. His remarks offered a timely and forward-looking perspective on India’s evolving APA and Safe Harbour frameworks, as well as the Government’s clear commitment to creating a stable, predictable tax environment for compliant GCCs. Key takeaways from the discussion: ✅ India’s APA program has been a meaningful driver of investor confidence ✅ Rationalized Safe Harbour thresholds are making the regime more relevant and accessible ✅ Recent Union Budget announcements signal a decisive shift toward transfer pricing simplification and reduced litigation ✅ Compliant GCCs deserve, and are being offered, a stable, predictable operating environment. Thomas Bettge of @KPMG_US (Washington National Tax) added global context on “insignificant risk” structuring for GCCs, grounding the India conversation in international best practices.
