New @_SportingCrypto just dropped 👇 @Polymarket become @X Prediction Market Partner There has been over $14bn trading volume on Polymarket in the last 12 months - between June 2024 and June 2025. If we consider that, according to Global Sports Insights, in 2023, $261 billion was ‘handled’ (wagered) globally — and the fact that Betfair Exchange process £77bn (~$100bn) of matched volume per year alone, this is significant. was reading a prediction market report by @ommiii_, @_sportingcrypto and @petberisha, and one slide really caught my attention. according to the report, @polymarket bets have been extremely accurate in predicting outcomes, since the outcomes mirror the aggregated decisions of thousands of bettors. this lines up with what @shayne_coplan said in his interview: when predictions come from a massive crowd, the data becomes incredibly accurate. odds have been leading outcomes recently, and making money is getting easier. this is the opportunity within the opportunity.

Last week had the challenge of being at two conferences at the same. First up was @_SportingCrypto bringing powerhouse names to the stage such as @McLarenF1 & @Courtyard_io, hosted at the @Improbableio offices (thank you) Next up was @SALTConference, a lot more on the institutional side and many deeper conversation about capital formation and allocation within the space. Had the pleasure of spending some time with @OwnYourDataNow and the executive @AlphaTONCapital team, speaking about their focuses for the Ton ecosystem, growth, decentralisation and the role Education will play in their strategy. It was also a great pleasure to hear @GaryLineker on stage. Someone who I have the utmost respect for. His stance on many of the issues that are wrong with society today, including the ongoing genocide happening to Palestinians and how he uses his platform and voice to raise awareness. Thank you 🙏

Sports Blockchain Summit II by @_SportingCrypto was the most interesting room to be in London yesterday. Speakers from @Courtyard_io , @MarriottIntl , @McLarenF1 and more. A few takeaways: 🔹 Token gating works when you're giving superfans something extra. 🔹 Pay-to-Play sponsorships often hurt crypto brands more than help. Multi-million sponsorships with major sports IPs only work when you have real alignment beyond logo placement. 🔹 Most established sports bodies are still hesitant about crypto. 🔹 The 'Metaverse' got rebranded to 'Virtual Spaces' and it seems to be working. 🔹 Give sports fans a simple UX. The 'crypto' needs to be abstracted because users don't care what's under the hood. Advertising that your product uses 'blockchain' tech isn't going to pull in end users. And just to state the obvious - dyor if you see a celebrity athlete pushing a token 🫶
