40 million worldwide in 2026 after a release in 2023. 15 million sold at $70, the rest were deeply discounted. GTA needs roughly the same kind of sales numbers to break even, 13 million at $80 per copy in year 1. They may get that but not that the sales are being age restricted by PlayStation and others that could be a big problem for sales. After year one the game will continue to sell but it will be deeply discounted in primary markets and see even bigger discounts in the developing world. Sales numbers will climb but revenue will be thin. They spent way too much getting GTA6 out the door and while They may make a profit eventually, it is unlikely to be a big financial success or worth the effort.

GTA 6 will not just be getting revenue from initial sale. This game will last for years with in-game purchases. Rockstar will easily make billions in profit.

Thanks to the Telegraph I learn landlords in London are advertising for Muslim-only tenants on Facebook and Gumtree. It’s illegal. The ads say things like “ for 2 Muslim boys” or “ 2 Muslim girls” or “ Muslims preferred”. The areas covered include Newham, Barking, East Ham, Dagenham, Walthamstow, Redbridge. When the Telegraph called up the landlords And asked if non-Muslims would be considered, one said “ go away” and another said no and put the phone down. Other ads say only Punjabi or Gujarati speaking tenants or people from Kerala. Why Facebook and Gumtree are taking such ads when they are clearly illegal under the 2010 Equality Act is beyond me. Imagine the outcry from Muslims if an ad had said Catholic, Jew or Methodist tenants only.
