Jamstack didn't win (and as a result, become obsolete as a term) because of fast pages. It became the norm by addressing architectural friction that impacted teams in so many ways.

Building a developer platform doesn't remove the bottleneck. It moves it. Most IDPs are just a new queue with better branding.

To be fair: this might also reflect where GenAI coding tools are the most useful? In going from zero to one; prototyping; vibe coding; getting to that first version to find PMF
Once getting to PMF, products change less and there’s more focus on eg reliability, bug fixes, no regressions. And these tools are not nearly as good of a fit for all this (at least not now/not yet)
English

In the past, scaleups were often ones that popularized development approaches that startups later adopted in droves (eg microservices, moving from native to React Native etc)
When it comes to GenAI tooling used for coding: seeing the opposite. Many larger scaleups are hesitating more, startups adopting these tools much much more rapidly

Well it’s my job to make sure that has a clear answer, so I’m gonna thread 🧵 it up for ya to explore and understand.
