@maternalgroyp @GreatLakesWife_ We don't, although we both have full access to each other's phones, computers, etc.
The few times I do use his phone I am horrified by all the apps he leaves open. :-)
But I've never just looked around.

@maternalgroyp He doesn’t have a huge appetite so he swears it’s enough! And like I said, the breasts we get from the store are enormous. Like often 1/2 lb each or more

Grocery money saving tip: chicken breasts from the store are enormous. Use one breast for two people and it’s usually enough! If they’re slightly smaller than the giant ones, you can always have more veggies/potatoes/rice

My neighbor (60 yr old lady) did foster care and had a young boy about 10. Sweet kid. He gave her some trouble. I remember one time she said “I told them I was going to give him back, but they got him on some medication and now I get more money so I’ll keep him longer “

No dude. They said that for all my babies. Did lots of extra scans from 35-39 weeks. Literally said “the baby is already 10.5lbs”. “We need to induce”. “The shoulder will get stuck” “emergency c section”
Literally baby was 8.5 lb. Not big at all
They were off by TWO POUNDS.
Happened with all 4 of my pregnancies. They are NOTORIOUSLY inaccurate measuring that late into the pregnancy

I’m all for natural birth. I prefer to have a natural birth, but hearing that my baby is massive has me considering a scheduled c-section. Because what do you mean this child is measuring weeks ahead of scheduled growth???

@maternalgroyp @nailpolishsoup It’s hard on every mom to hear their baby cry. When we finally sleep trained my 2 year old, my husband, mom, and sister took the monitor and I either went for a walk or took a shower with loud music on the other side of the house. She cried a total of 14 minutes over three nights

some fun facts about me & sleep:
-the longest stretch of sleep I’ve had since 2020 is a single 5 hour stretch and 9 nights I had a 4 hour stretch (yes I know it was 9 times because each one was a documented miracle)
-newborn sleep stage is when I get the most sleep (3 hour chunks)
-my babies all wake up every 30-90 minutes the entire night arouns 6/7 weeks and onward until at least 12mo.
- I have virtually been waking up between 1-3 hours all night, every night, for almost 6 years STRAIGHT.
does anyone else out there function on this amount of sleep? Does anyone else have babies that will not sleep longer than that?
I’m completely exhausted but no one seems to have good sleeping advice other than leave them to cry.
I don’t know what to do …all my other goals seem impossible while being in such a state of constant sleep deprivation.

A conundrum. A catch-22.
husband treats wife terribly because she’s fat and no longer attractive.
wife wants to get hot again and then he’ll be kind to her- but then she’ll resent him for treating her so badly when she was having a hard time. And then she’ll treat him terribly.

I’m not saying there aren’t good foster people. And I don’t think she was *just* in it for the money either. But it was a factor.

@maternalgroyp Im being serious. If you desperately need sleep and you have the need to be present with your infants, it's time to start taking 2 or so year long breaks between them. So you can sleep and be present for your other children

Yes she was hungry. I left her with my mom while I did a work thing and she would have normally been nursing at that time.

@maternalgroyp @stefiegriff Have you tried with a bottle when she’s very hungry? And have you tried the Philips avent bottles? Those worked like a charm for me when others failed.
