Paglia detests this characterization of women as weak and powerless bc it justifies restricting women's freedom. For their own good, naturally. Paglia, being more masculine, doesn't understand that most women crave freedom and its risks a lot less than she does. She essentially is making a case for something that suits 1-2% of women.
