@Locke_Loaded @RepDonBeyer It’s cause ur dumb. You think soft non military targets within a non combat zone, surrounded by innocents, based on insanely weak Israeli intel are valid targets for rocket strikes. Hezbollah has an independent military in the south. Ur a stupid anon so I expect it.

The U.S. must immediately make clear to Israel that the ceasefire agreement is not and cannot be functional without a ceasefire in Lebanon. The American people want this war to end and bombing downtown Beirut is not a path to peace.

@BBQdTurnips @tesstea @QasimRashid Constitution was ratified in 1789. Ur 13 years too early and in 1776 no one voted. The Colonial army did not execute men for not serving. The first Continental army was volunteer in 1775. The second Continental army was also voluntary except for criminals. Ur a dumb liar.

@rickuser @tesstea @QasimRashid In 1776 US every 17-35 year old male was mandated to be a member of their local militia. If you didn't show up when called in uniform and proficiently armed, you would be placed under arrest, for deficiency. Many were executed for being traitors for not.

Hegseth announces automatic registration for US military draft to begin in December. Any immigrant who doesn't register within 30 days of turning 18 can be criminally charged. While absurd, practically speaking all this does is show MAGA hypocrisy. Somehow automatic voter registration isn’t possible—but automatic registration for the draft program is both possible and now required. MAGAs don't want to make it easier for young people to vote—just easier for them to die in Trump's illegal wars.

@GenoTennis @evanwch The article he links lists the entire spend as fraudulent. It doesn’t breakout any specific areas and says some historic case prosecuting fraud on individual scale. Rufu (who’s a dumb idiot) then retweets as it’s all fraud. You didn’t ready anything Geno.

I appreciate your lived experience.. and your anecdote. There are many micro-economic stories. I do believe that any reply about the importance of programs carries the expectation that you look carefully at the point being made. In this case, specifically fraud related to the program. The bit that was left unsaid by Ruffo is that there are valid uses for the program. His point appears to just be that there is a pretty big number related to fraud. You didn't defend the fraud, but talking past each other doesn't help much.

Because the alternative is to institutionalize severely disabled people. This keeps them with their family members For example, I know someone who has a young disabled son who has to sleep on a ventilator each night to stay alive and this program allows him to live with his family instead of hours away in a care facility If this program weren’t available, she would have to work 40 hours a week to institutionalize him. Because of it, she is able to provide him 24-7 care instead of a stranger
Christopher F. Rufo ⚔️@christopherrufo

EXCLUSIVE: California spends $30 billion per year paying 800,000 people to cook, clean, shop, and watch television with family members and others. This "in-home care" program operates mostly on the honor system—and loses $6 to $12 billion a year to fraud. city-journal.org/article/califo…

@RepDonBeyer So you admit that Hezbollah’s actions are directly attributed to Iran? Iran has been actively engaging in war and committing war crimes for dozens of years. I look forward to you voting appropriately to hold Iran accountable.

@tesstea @QasimRashid Voting should be restricted to people who have served. Service was mandatory when the constitution was written. It was inconceivable that people who refuse to defend their homeland would be allowed to vote, how that has made it's way into our society is a tragedy.

@lordaitaxii @swdhldr @GAYERdoctor No one is diabetic. People have diabetes. T1D (AI) and TD2 (insulin resistance/production) share a common symptom (persistent hyperglycemia) but are two different diseases. T1D is permanent, T2D is transitory. Both are initially treated with dietary and exercise adjustments.

Calley Means@calleymeans

@ArtieVandelay1 Thank you for your brave defense of sugary drinks to patients with chronic disease. In the extremely rare case it is clinically neccesary to serve patients (who are over 50% prediabetic or diabetic) liquid sugar, that is obviously allowed under the CMS rule.

@lordaitaxii @swdhldr @GAYERdoctor Wut? I offered to pull his Hospitals dietary guidelines for hospital meals you want something else? Hospitals are not providing full sugar sodas and full sugar jello for patients with a diabetes dx. The doctor was even confused that dx comes directly from a binary fasting test.

@swdhldr @GAYERdoctor What is the bad nutrition?! Hospital patient meals are designed under dietary guidelines. I can pull ur exact hospitals dietary allowance per diagnosis. Ur defending a fake anecdote from RFK by conflating other ancillary issues, little guy.

Then this is going to be a little embarrassing for you. T2DM is not a binary condition, it’s a continuum of disease. People who eventually cross the diagnostic threshold of fasting glucose, have actually had progressive disease for years, possibly decades. 115 million Americans are prediabetic. Essentially every elderly person who is not diabetic is prediabetic. Most of my ER patients who are not diabetic, are prediabetic. So yeah, giving those people bad nutrition in the hospital is probably a net negative, amigo.

@swdhldr @GAYERdoctor I’m a 26 year T1D who has spent the last 15 years working in diabetes. I spent 10 years visiting newly diagnosed kids in hospitals. No one was ever given sodas or jello (unless it was sugar free). Diabetes dx is given to someone with a fasting glucose of above 120, so yes.

Do you know what diabetes is? Do you imagine that T2DM is a binary diagnosis, where north of the line you’re 100% diabetic and south of it, you’re normal? Also who is visiting diabetic patients in the hospital, and secondarily, eating in the hospital? Do you imagine there’s any correlation between the health problems of the patients and their family members?

@swdhldr @GAYERdoctor Hospital patient meals are reviewed & prepared by under dietary restrictions. Patients with a diabetes dx will get a meal with low carb and sugar free variants. Sugar options given for hypo corrections. What are you saying here? Ur hospital serving sodas to diabetes dx patients?

@GAYERdoctor Hold on. Avoiding hypoglycemic episodes in diabetics (actual problem) is not an argument to serve sugary sodas in hospitals (probably a net negative benefit on the whole).

@rickuser @jkimballcook @Quirk22 Wong was 30 years after Amendment XIV was adopted and it changed the rules that we all agreed to and practiced for decades with a completely novel re-interpretation. Even that re-interpretation never applied to illegals or tourists, but only to legally domiciled foreigners.

@rickuser @jkimballcook @Quirk22 We still deported millions of illegal aliens who were born here in the 1930s, 40s, and 50s. Indians still weren't citizens until 1924. Wong was a narrow (wrong) point that is irrelevant here.
