That's contradictory. Also, Amos 3:7 no? Have you prayed to Heavenly Father regarding Pres. Oaks's words?

@tpeter077 @jaredadairbell My faith is in Jesus Christ, the Atonement, and the truth, not in politics or mortal men. I use the Spirit to confirm truth and discern when fallible leaders have been deceived, as Christ and JS directed us to do.

@uspatriot121 @jaredadairbell Does your faith determine your politics or does your politics determine your faith? The real question you should be asking is, does the current prophetic teachings help me draw closer to Jesus Christ. I can attest that yes, they do and they will.

@StevenStubble @BradenDisguised Israel (Jacob) was commanded by God to have multiple wives. That is polygamy in the Old Testament. Are you being disingenuous or did you simply forget?

@BradenDisguised This is completely disingenuous. The whole "king David had concubines, so Mormonism is OK" thing is tiresome.
What we don't believe is that God and his wife (wives?) aka Heavenly Mother, gave birth to "coeternal" spirit children who all had their memories erased.

@Brettlds That's a separate post but I agree. I believe it's a gift of the Spirit to trust your spouse, knowing that they know but not knowing yourself.

The trick is to also gain trust in the reverse, as a man trusting her feelings even when the evidence doesn’t seem to align. Feelings are a reality we like to discount, but if we give them equal weight, many blessings come our way. Like trusting the spirit when those promptings come. Many times I have sought my own confirmation for a sense or intuition that my wife had, and got it, and many times when her spidey senses sensed something wrong particularly with our kids, she was almost always spot on even when I was completely oblivious. It’s a tough balance to figure out, but highly recommend seeking to gain it!

We found out during a late ultrasound that our son was going to be born without eyes.
What I didn’t expect was for the doctor to ask if we wanted to abort him. We had just seen him in a 3D ultrasound moving around and otherwise healthy.
Holding back tears, we both told him no, we are keeping him.
He deserved to live even though he experiences life differently.
Here he is as a baby and now at age 11.

You can tell a lot about the politics of a country by how The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is allowed to operate within its borders.
All North American missionaries were removed from Venezuela in 2005. To this day, the only missionaries allowed are native Venezuelans. God bless them for continuing the work of the Lord.
It’ll be interesting to see if current events will open more opportunities for the Church in the future.

I had the pleasure and unique opportunity to interview @ALScyborg.
What a man of faith! I truly envy it. What he has gone through and goes through but has yet to waiver in his faith tells me I have ZERO excuses.
