Mayor Gary Grasso had been a great mayor and spent years on the DuPage County Board. We need our county to move away from this obsession with divisive, progressive rhetoric and antics. Mayor Grasso will bring the county back to a focus on strong management, reigning spending, and prioritizing public safety. Vote Gary Grasso - Mayor of Burr Ridge for DuPage Chair! This city is a complete disaster. A Loyola University murdered in cold blood. A CFD dies in fire started by an arsonist. Businesses leaving left and right. The CTA is unridable. The 5th floor of this administration has done ZERO. Yet, voter turnout for the primaries were abysmal. What’s it going to take #Chicago ?

We cannot allow the CCP to corner the market on our medicines and overtake American leadership in biotechnology. I appreciate BIO CEO John Crowley and Biogen Chief Acess Officer Chris Leibman for meeting with me after our @ChinaSelect hearing to provide a further update on the U.S. biotech industry and ways to counter the CCP’s unfair practices.

Election NARK@ElectioNark·
If Illinois expects to have a Republican Governor, let’s get one thing straight. We can’t have a real election until we get a handle on the fact that all the republicans who voted in the state can’t even beat the ballot producing mass registration of Chicago democrats votes. Stop celebrating and get to work on this It’s like cheering because you scored a field goal while the other team is up by five touchdowns.

A Different Side of Japan
A Different Side of Japan@donnyjkimball·
While overtourism rages in locations like Kyoto and other Japan hotspots, other parts of the country see far fewer foreign visitors, and Tokushima Prefecture is one of those places. Located on Japan’s island of Shikoku, Tokushima is a treasure trove of diverse attractions. Though best known for its memorable Awa Odori dance and festival, the prefecture is home to so much more. To start with, there are the magnificent whirlpools of Naruto, which are caused by seawater rushing into and out of Japan’s Seto Inland Sea. They are both breathtaking and terrifying to behold. Additionally, there is the bucolic Iya Valley. Hidden away in the heart of Shikoku, this rural part of the island is known as the “Tibet of Japan” and about as far off the beaten path as it gets. With its iconic vine bridges and strikingly steep cliffs, the Iya Valley is the kind of destination that rewards a wayward traveler precisely because it’s so difficult to reach. As they say, the journey is the destination. Of course, this is just the tip of the iceberg. From indigo dyeing workshops like Aizome Kobo Ruafu to the faithful ceramic reproductions of masterpieces on display at the Otsuka Museum of Art, you’re spoiled for choice when it comes to Tokushima. Add this amazing prefecture to your next Japan itinerary and come find out why Japan’s island of Shikoku might very well be the country’s best-kept secret.

Deport immediately: Rich kids in China who never set foot in the U.S. were handed official California high school diplomas, complete with district seal & superintendent signature, to get into taxpayer funded UC schools. A newly released 2026 state audit confirmed it & referred the case to prosecutors.

🚨 HUGE SCANDAL in CA schools: State audit exposes Val Verde Unified issuing REAL California diplomas to kids in CHINA who've NEVER stepped foot here! Wealthy Chinese families buying spots at top US universities? All-expenses-paid trips for officials? This is a betrayal.

This young lady ordered a taxi fresh off the plane in Japan. She got in the back and got comfortable. She then asks how much the fare would be, after the conversion she found out it would be $213. After expressing concern over the price of the fare, the taxi driver helped her find a cheaper option. The taxi driver takes her to the bus station in a nice area with good shopping awhile she waits for the bus. The driver even asked her if she had cash because the bus was cash only, the young lady said she would go to an ATM, fearing the young lady would not have been able to get money out, she runs back to her cab and gets money out for her. It’s amazing to me that the taxi driver wasn’t willing to take advantage of the tourist. Not only did she find her a cheaper option, she even paid for it too, the world would be a better place if we all looked out for one another, wouldn’t it?

🇨🇳 national and former University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center researcher Yunhai Li (李云海), who attempted to take data from Houston and smuggle it back to China, has been sentenced to a year in the Harris County jail after pleading guilty to attempted theft of trade secrets. Li pleaded guilty to the state jail felony on Mar 6, according to Harris County court records. He was sentenced to 364 days in the jail, and received credit for 196 days he had already spent in custody. Li is expected to be deported once he is released from custody. Li, who researched breast cancer and was working on an anticancer vaccine at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, was accused of downloading MD Anderson data on personal devices and uploading it onto 🇨🇳 Baidu’s cloud service. In June 2025, he was confronted by hospital officials about data he had downloaded. He resigned amid an internal investigation, according to court records. In July, days after he left his position, he was stopped at Bush Intercontinental Airport while he was attempting to fly back to China. Customs agents found evidence that he had downloaded data on a personal laptop. At the time, Li told agents that he "believed his research was going to waste" and that he intended to continue his research at a Chinese university. "Li added that he was hoping that (US Customs and Border Protection) would not discover this information on his electronics," investigators wrote. He agreed to plead guilty to a downgraded charge of attempted theft, according to court records. Li began working for MD Anderson in 2022. Parts of his research were funded by the National Institutes of Health and the Department of Defense. When he started working in the US, Li signed confidentiality agreements that were meant to prevent him from sharing information outside the cancer center. He also certified that he didn’t have foreign research funding or outside affiliations. Despite his pledges, Li was receiving funding from the National Natural Science Foundation of China and was performing research for Chongqing Medical University, according to a complaint written by a Texas Department of Public Safety investigator. While he was a researcher at MD Anderson, Li was listed as an author on medical research published in China. MD Anderson previously confirmed the institution was working with authorities on the investigation into Li. Li was also charged with tampering with a government record over the documents he signed for the cancer center. That charge was dismissed after he pleaded guilty to the felony charge. houstonchronicle.com/news/houston-t…

I’ve been a trucker for 40 years, I always have my CDL in my pocket. I know what it takes to get a CDL and what it takes to be a trucker. These so-called “instructors” don’t, and they’re handing 80,000 pound trucks to anyone with a pulse. Truckers stand with Dalilah’s Law.

Kim Georgeton for Lt. Governor of Ohio
Let’s talk H1B. In March 2024, I got a call. My job was gone. So was everyone else's. Infosys didn't replace one or two of us. They replaced the whole department. Every. Single. One. Their guy chose to keep his friends employed over American workers. This isn't a story. It's a playbook. Here's what they don't tell you about H-1B abuse in Ohio: → Ohioans have lost ~$300M per H-1B worker cycle → Wages drop tens of thousands per replaced job → That money doesn't pay Ohio rent. Doesn't hit Ohio restaurants. Doesn't pay Ohio taxes. It leaves. Infosys paid $34M settling federal fraud charges for exactly this. Now Vivek Ramaswamy wants to be Ohio's governor. The same man whose company used H-1B visas 29 times. The same man who told Americans we "venerate mediocrity over excellence." He got fired from DOGE partly for saying that. He says he wants to reform H-1B now. His record says otherwise. I'm running for Lt. governor because I know what it feels like. To be told your job, your team, your livelihood just doesn't matter. Ohio workers matter. Ohio paychecks should stay in Ohio. We will solve this. Share this. 🗳️ Vote @CaseyPutsch — May 5 📋 Register by April 6
