@RVAwonk @ChrisO_wiki You are 100 percent wrong. The entire United States gets to choose if they get a flu vaccine except for the military. Now they do too. Don’t be so dramatic.

I gave a talk a few years ago about how vaccine-related disinformation has the potential to achieve nearly the exact same adverse outcomes as biological warfare (eg, spread of disease, overcrowded hospitals, military personnel losses, $ impact, etc). Aaaand now here we are.
Secretary of War Pete Hegseth@SecWar

The War Department is once again restoring freedom to our Joint Force. We are discarding the mandatory flu vaccine requirement, effective immediately.

Iran closing the Strait of Hormuz was the single most predictable retaliation to US attacks – yet Trump & Hegseth failed to anticipate it, and clearly have no idea how to respond. Now all of us are paying the price for their incompetence and hubris.
The Bulwark@BulwarkOnline

Rep. Pat Ryan: "The fact that the president did not understand that closing the strait would be the obvious and immediate leverage point for the Iranians just shows how out of depth they are in initiating this war."

@ZcohenCNN @CarlaBNewsmax The reason you have a fire extinguisher in a car is to use it. If you have a fire you don’t say to yourself “if I use it I won’t have a fire extinguisher in my car” you just use it and go buy another one.

New: The US military has significantly depleted its stockpile of key missiles during war with Iran & created “near-term risk” of running out of ammunition in a future conflict should one arise in next few years, per experts & 3 people familiar w/ recent internal Pentagon assessments. cnn.com/2026/04/21/pol…

@JimLaPorta Hush money, tax evasion, bank fraud, congress, he lied far and wide. That’s a huge a pattern that needs to be divulged anytime you are tying to make That guy credible which you just did.

Ok Jim I’m gonna call you out for the fist time on some unethical reporting. You’re basically using a guy who went to prison for lying his ass off as a witness that Trump lied to get out of service but you don’t mention the prison part in your post. That is 100 percent not right.

Of course you’re going to comment because the only way to stay on MSNow is to hate on Trump. Just like you said he was committing war crimes by threatening to blow up power plants in Iran yet he participated willingly in the gulf war where the main US effort was targeting Iraqi power plants yet he didn’t resign in protest.

@ColinPClarke Oh, you mean like downplaying every terrorist motivation except white supremacy tied to right-wing Trump supporters in the wake of January 6, as emphasized in Biden’s domestic counterterrorism strategy?

To date, no strategy has appeared & no explanation for the delay. When it is finally released, current/former CT personnel expect a document rooted in politics rather than intelligence with little detail on how to combat threats after a year of deep cuts across NatSec agencies. propublica.org/article/sebast…

The Trump administration seems to be going out of its way to kill Americans needlessly
Jonathan Reiner@JReinerMD

After the breathtaking results of an early mRNA pancreatic cancer vaccine trial, Dr Makary tells @kaitlancollins that NIH canceled $500 million in support for 20 mRNA vaccine trials simply because private industry should pay for it. In reality, RFK Jr killed the funding because he doesn’t believe in the technology. He said, “After reviewing the science and consulting top experts at NIH and FDA, HHS has determined that mRNA technology poses more risk than benefits for these respiratory viruses.”

Ok I know Trump sounds like a lunatic right now but I truly believe he and his team have a very workable plan and Trump is just being Trump. People don’t understand it and throw hate. I think we’re going to come out better off than we were two months ago. It may cost Trump the midterms but I think he did the right thing.

@micyoung75 I worked gangs for a longgg time. I routinely came across prosecutors who thought a murder case couldn’t prosecuted but another prosecutor in the same office took it to trial and won. A lot could have to do with prosecutor capability rather than lack of evidence. Hard to say.

The lead career prosecutor overseeing the Brennan investigation in Miami is off the case. The reason, per sources: she told the U.S. Attorney she did not believe there was enough to bring charges. CNN reported she had been resisting pressure to move quickly. Her replacement includes Chris DeLorenz. His prior posting: law clerk to Judge Aileen Cannon during the investigation into Donald Trump's retention of classified documents. That personnel sequence is not incidental. A career national security prosecutor who concluded the evidence was insufficient gets removed. A former Cannon clerk who most recently worked as a deputy attorney general adviser gets assigned. The DOJ called it routine resource allocation. Routine resource allocation does not typically follow a documented pattern of the outgoing prosecutor resisting pressure to accelerate charges she didn't think the evidence supported. The same Miami office is also handling Tulsi Gabbard's referral claiming Obama-era officials "manufactured" the 2017 intelligence assessment - a claim CBS characterizes as made "without evidence." And it is separately reviewing documents from the Jack Smith investigation into Trump. One federal prosecutor's office. Three politically loaded assignments. The career lawyer who said the case wasn't there is gone. The Cannon clerk is in.

IRAN SIGNALS TALKS BACK ON—‘REFUSAL’ WAS TACTICAL Iran’s apparent rejection of a second round of U.S. talks was likely strategic posturing, not a breakdown in negotiations, according to Pakistani sources. Tehran is now open to resuming discussions but has not made a final decision. Officials describe their stance as “realistic,” aiming to secure better terms. Pakistan remains a trusted mediator for both sides and is expected to host talks if they proceed.

Oh, the same honorable Comey who knew he couldn’t use the Steele dossier in a FISA warrant but let it happen any way and the same Comey who knew Clinton’s gross violation of email server protocol was almost positively penetrated by the Chinese but did not recommend prosecution. And I won’t mention leaking notes to a book author. Super honorable guy.

@ed_fin Why torpedo? Why not just board, seize, offload/sell cargo, and reflag to US? Kill two birds with one stone by solving US shipbuilding crisis at the same time. Bonus points if we offer US citizenship to all of the mariners onboard in exchange for 5 years of seafaring service.
