Teen comes in for an unrelated issue. During the routine menstrual history, reported she was missing school and bed-ridden at least once a month due to period cramps. Mom said, "that's normal; periods are painful and she has to learn to deal. My periods were like that too." 🧵

@MediClit @dramypark A shave biopsy can be used for pedunculated lesions such as skin tags, small condylomata or melanocytic nevi. Punch biopsies are used frequently since we are seeing a lot of inflammatory dermatoses, pre-cancers ( HSIL), and cancers.
