A moment of deafening silence that says everything. In less than two minutes, this clip captures a chilling reality on Irish television. When Boy George asks a simple, human question—“Do you know any Jewish people?”—the response isn't just quiet; it’s a void. The Confrontation While Patrick Kielty attempts to frame targeted attacks on the Jewish community through the lens of "complexity" and external conflict, Boy George cuts through the noise with radical clarity. The Callousness: Using a "backdrop" to rationalize the targeting of a minority group is not nuance; it is dismissive. The Silence: Watch Boy George’s face. The shock isn't performative—it’s the realization of how deep the isolation runs. The Dismissal: A quick "mmm" to end the conversation when it becomes too uncomfortable to face the truth. Why This Matters For too long, the Jewish community in Ireland has been ignored, gaslit, and disrespected by the very media meant to represent all citizens. To see a global icon stand up and name the erasure while the room stays silent is, quite frankly, extraordinary. "If you don't know any Jewish people, maybe that's the problem." Watch until the end. This isn't just about a talk show; it’s about the terrifying ease with which a community can be made invisible in plain sight. Thank you, @BoyGeorge, for speaking the truth in a room that wasn't ready to hear it. 🇮🇪✡️ #Ireland #BoyGeorge #StandUpToAntisemitism #Truth #JewishCommunity #LateLateShow

@ginger_66666 @afshineemrani Unfortunatey, the sad reality is that many Jews hide that they are Jews, so the real number of Jews and part Jews is probably at least 10 times your estimate.

@afshineemrani Iris politicians and elites have erased Jews from their consciousness except to demonize Israel and her Zionist(read Jewish) supporters. Thank you Boy george for trying to help people get back to basics

@afshineemrani That is a nonsense take. I personally don't know any Jewish or Muslim or Hindu people, not because I am bias against these people but because they are no people live locally to me. Boy George lives in London and is involved in the arts scene, a very different to today audience.

@danobrien20 Public servants have to pay asc levy which is another form of tax. Plus if a self employed persons business has a good year the benefit from the profits whereas public servants don't get any bonus, profit shares, share options etc no matter how successful their employers are.

Excellent chart showing marginal personal tax rates in Ireland. Worth noting that the self employed pay an additional 3% above €100k bringing their marginal rate to 55%. Makes so much sense that those embodiements of neoliberalism - people who works for themselves - have to pay more tax than a public sector worker who faces no risk to income, enjoys sick leave etc. Pro-enterprise governments since 2008?

Hey, @businessposthq, @irishexaminer and @irishtimes, I can't find your tweets about the latest poll. The FFG spin designed to avoid a headline which states SF is the most popular party is that Aontú and Independents made gains. Catch up. That #vatbribe can be easily removed.

@Irelandunites @BrendyBoyle It is very cheap to get to the game on the train. Maybe the rugby tickets are too expensive but I don't tax has much to do with it. Plus a big element of leinster supporters are well off individuals

@Interested95071 @BrendyBoyle Too much hassle with traffic congestion for people to be driving up from majority of Leinster counties & the costs are off the charts. We're being taxed heavily on EVERYTHING! People voting with their feet on every event these day's. The country has lost the will to partisipate.

@singland976 @griptmedia Did you deserve to be sacked when you were a public servant. If you go into a restaurant and meet a bad waiter does that mean every waiter in Ireland should be fired based on your poor waiter?

LAURA PERRINS: Take Varadkar himself. He will receive a pension which exceeds €126,000 pa when he reaches 66,. plus exit payments worth nearly €90,000 and later a retirement lump sum worth nearly €155,000.” That’s quite a big ‘subsidy’ right there. gript.ie/leo-varadkar-f…

@griptmedia @EmployRightsIE Defined benefit pensions, long since gone from the private sector in the main for obvious reasons. Pensions that would cost millions to buy privately, and that's just one individual politician. Advocacy is easy in the public sector, no consequences, gold-plated remuneration.

@moefitzpatrick They aren't really a force though, put them in Ulster and see if they'd win as many titles as Cavan have done in the past. Cavan does need to up its game mind you.

Similar-sized county to Cavan, have out-performed us in every grade of football (senior, u20, minor, club) in the last 10 years. Same goes for Monaghan. Val Andrews' comment in 2011, "Cavan people are happy in a quagmire of shit", was accurate.

It would leave an accountant scratching their head. How is it that Roscommon remain a force in Gaelic football, living wildly beyond their means among the game's elite? the42.ie/7021600

@raggedlines @jasonomahony Why wouldn't these candidates who are somehow more favourable to the people run in the first election? Are we going to waste piles of time and money running elections until you come to the impossible conclusion that everyone is happy with the outcome.

@jasonomahony We don't have the option so there's no formal procedure for it. What should happen is the election is run again with candidates more favourable to the people. It would take a few runs the first time to get the message across.

Tomorrow I'm going to Dublin to watch my friend be sentenced. Let that sink in. She is being sentenced for defending herself and her daughter in her own home. Nineteen masked men broke into her house. No warrant. No notice. No warning. They were in her bedroom for nearly an hour terrorising her while her child was in another room terrified. The guards arrived. Her daughter ran to them screaming for help. They ignored her. The only people they helped were the private security firm that had no lawful authority to be there in the first place. And now Lisa is the one found guilty. No DNA. No medical report. Court order 3 months out of date. No cctv no phones or cameras seized. Witness statements that didn’t match. No proper chain of custody. No physical proof. Just hearsay. There's so much more I could say on how there was no evidence for there even to have this case to be put forward for trial in the first place. Lisa stood alone, her legal team beside her were her two beautiful daughters, so incredibly strong and courageous, in a criminal court with no effective defence and was still pushed through the system. And we're supposed to call that justice? Under Bunreacht na hÉireann and the European Convention on Human Rights, people have a right to a fair trial and due process. So where was it? The media were there the day she was convicted. And then silence. No coverage. No outrage. No accountability. Hiding Lisa from the public because they know there would be public outrage because this is a complete miscarriage of Justice. If this can happen to Lisa, it can happen to you. If people can enter your home without a warrant and you're punished for defending yourself, then your rights mean nothing. What we allow to happen to others will happen to us. This is setting a precedent for every single one of you going forward. If we all just stood together and stood up against these private banking firms none of this would happen that just shows how much of a weak country we live in and the biggest problem in this country is not the government but it's the people that allow this to happen!! Shame on every activist in this country that has had a large following that has never covered this. Ye have no idea how disgusted I am. Everything about this case is fraud and corruption, the only victims here are Lisa and her daughters. The only ones committing crimes here are the STATE. The whole of Ireland should be up there tomorrow to support Lisa and stop that judge from putting her in prison. Because we are the power, not them and the sooner you all realize that the better!!

All this yap about the govt having no mandate. Put that into legislation: are we genuinely saying we should have an automatic general election every time govt support drops below 50%? What are we specifically actually saying? Reduce the Dail term to 2 years? What?
