New footage shows Kenya’s Michael Kamau following a motorcycle that was exiting the course around mile 26 of the LA Marathon just moments before he was passed by American Nathan Martin.
Kamau was also seen having to avoid a woman who had run in front of him, which likely added to the confusion.
Moments later, Martin passed him to win the race.

Martin was seen chasing down Kamau at the end of the race. “I made an actual move five miles out… when I saw no one else was picking up the pace. I decided I needed to push,” the 36-year-old said. “At a mile and a half to go, I could see the leader and with 800 meters to go, I was thinking, ‘I’m catching him.’” Martin finished the race with a time of 2 hours, 11 minutes, 16.50 seconds.

I think Hollywood at large needs to study how this was marketed. Friends of mine who have zero interest in movies most of the time told me they were going to see this because of the viral Chalamet video and the blimps.
