@CheshireEast @CECHighways walking through Holmes Chapel adjacent to Middlewich Road between HC Primary School & the Junction to Chester Road. This is the state of the road. It’s unsafe & unacceptable. This has been reported multiple times and needs a complete resurface.

I had magazine subscription, trade union stuff, birthday cards and Christmas cards all very late. We often go weeks between deliveries!

@cashandcarrots @ukrailadventure Yes, I have travelled with DB recently. I am aware of their lack of investment over recent years, which has had an impact on how well everything runs. But ignoring delays, we still lack behind.

@MeerkatExpress @ukrailadventure Have you travelled by DB recently?! We have. At least they have delay repay too. Although I think they may be getting more money now, the lack of maintenance and investment has given them a very bad reputation with the German public.

Loco hauled trains are cool! Sleeper trains are even more cool!! So what makes this loco hauled sleeper train even cooler still? You can take your car!! Check out the wagons at the rear. An idea that died out in the UK some years ago now, but seemingly still alive in Germany!

@ukrailadventure Germany for trains & stns is something else, something amazing, completely different to 🇬🇧. Leipzig Hauptbahnhof is stunningly beautiful & a must see. Berlin Hbf needs to be on Austin’s list too!

A lovely run from Brussels & we've arrived in Köln no more than a few mins behind schedule. What a magnificent train shed the Haupt bahnhof is! First thing Austin asked was 'can we come back later and watch some trains'. Absolutely we can come back later and watch some trains 🙂

We're delighted to announce that we have reached an agreement with Beacon Rail to purchase two Mark 4 coaches for preservation. As Coach 'M's on the popular InterCity 225 electric trains they worked long-distance services out of London King’s Cross from 1989 until late 2025.
