A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Headquarters Integrated Defence Staff and the Space Applications Centre, ISRO for maintenance of existing satellite-based telecommunication nodes and provisioning of additional nodes for the Armed Forces. The MoU was signed by Air Marshal Shankar Subramanian, DCIDS (Med), on behalf of @HQ_IDS_India, and Shri Nilesh M Desai, Director SAC, @isro. Both sides reviewed the current telemedicine infrastructure and deliberated on the roadmap for next-generation telemedicine nodes.

Raksha Mantri Shri @rajnathsingh inaugurated the 2-day National Defence Industries Conclave in Delhi, launching DISC-14, ADITI challenges, and 101 innovation challenges from DPSUs. He stressed building a drone production ecosystem for strategic autonomy and Aatmanirbhar Bharat. As of February 2026, approx. 676 start-ups, MSMEs, and individual innovators have joined the defence innovation ecosystem. 548 contracts have been signed & 566 challenges have been launched. Of these, 58 prototypes have received clearance for procurement, worth nearly Rs 3,853 crore. Furthermore, 45 procurement contracts have already been signed, valued at around Rs 2,326 crore. These figures demonstrate that innovation is gradually materialising into tangible products and technologies, and the role played by our start-ups and #MSMEs in this transformation is steadily gaining strength: Raksha Mantri Shri @rajnathsingh at National Defence Industries Conclave 2026.

Raksha Mantri Shri @rajnathsingh today launched the 14th edition of Defence India Startup Challenge (DISC-14) and 4th edition of the #ADITI challenges during the National Defence Industries Conclave 2026 in New Delhi. 107 problem statements, including 82 under #DISC-14 and 25 under ADITI, from the Defence Forces, @IndiaCoastGuard and Defence Space Agency were launched to promote breakthrough innovations in various domains. 101 innovation challenges from #DPSUs were also launched by Raksha Mantri to encourage design-led innovation by #MSMEs and start-ups. These challenges are funded by DPSUs, which will also provide mentorship, testing facilities and opportunities for potential integration into their supply chains to the winning startups.

Lt Gen Dhiraj Seth, PVSM, UYSM, AVSM, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, #SouthernCommand, witnessed the culmination of #ExAMOGHJWALA at #Babina Field Firing Ranges, validating new operational concepts, force structures, procedures and protocols for modern warfare. Executed by #WhiteTigerDivision, the exercise demonstrated high-tempo mechanised operations through the integrated employment of Attack Helicopters, Fighter Aircraft, drones, counter-drone systems and advanced battlefield technologies in a multi-domain operational environment. Synchronized fire and manoeuvre, real-time drone-enabled surveillance and target acquisition, precision engagement, and the seamless integration of Electronic Warfare (EW), Air Defense (AD) and night-fighting capabilities reflected the growing combat edge of a networked and #FutureReady force. The Army Commander complimented the troops on the professionalism, operational excellence and battle readiness displayed during the exercise. Raksha Mantri Shri @rajnathsingh will address the inaugural session of National Defence Industries Conclave, scheduled to commence on March 19, 2026, at Manekshaw Centre, New Delhi. The event will focus on expanding the integration of MSMEs into the national defence production ecosystem and advancing manufacturing technologies, including automation, artificial intelligence and robotics, among others.

The National Defence Industries Conclave 2026, commencing on 19 March, will feature a series of thematic and interactive sessions, including Domain, @India_iDEX and @DefProdnIndia sessions. To be held at Manekshaw Centre, New Delhi, the event will facilitate direct engagement between policymakers, industry, start-ups and other stakeholders, focusing on key policy initiatives and schemes to promote self-reliance and enhance participation in defence manufacturing.

Delhi Cantonment Board (DCB) undertook water conservation efforts through a robust mix of infrastructure development and community participation. Key measures include installation of rainwater harvesting systems along 60+ km of roads, sprinkler systems in 8 parks, drip irrigation in 5 parks, and revival of over 85 rainwater harvesting pits, significantly enhancing groundwater recharge, reducing wastage, and addressing waterlogging. Under the flagship programme ‘Water Conservation-Public Participation’, over 2,000 students have been engaged through awareness initiatives, along with a session on ‘Pani Ki Pathshala’ by Padma Shri Dr. Uma Shankar Pandey. Initiatives under Jal Shakti Abhiyan, including rejuvenation of the Jharera village pond, are further strengthening ecological resilience and benefiting over 5,000 residents. #WaterConservation #JalShaktiAbhiyan #SustainableFuture
