@saintstvpod We literally lost that game due to fatigue. Everyone saying it was bc of the first quarter goal kicking didn’t watch the game or has shit ball knowledge. Brisbane’s kicking in the first quarter was much worse
English

@SaintsNationAU We played well but that was the most bizarre thing I’ve seen. I’ve never seen a team just run out of gas that quickly
English

@davisjarrafooty If you watched the game sheezel didn’t play well. For someone who is poor in the contest he needs to play well by foot. Was a literal turnover merchant against one of the worst sides of all time
English

2018 Tom Mitchell wins the Brownlow with 35 possessions, 8 clearances, 5 inside 50s and 6 score involvements
2026 Harry Sheezel has 39 disposals, 8 clearances, 5 inside 50s and 4 score involvements, doesn’t get a single coaches vote.
That’s the difference in the way that players have been able to actually impact the game. You used to be able to impact the game the most by getting your hands on the footy the most, now that’s not the case. But… we still (myself included) always name disposals first when talking about a players impact.
Also, the most interactive part of footy for casual fans is fantasy, which has disposals as the most impactful stat because of pure volume, so casual fans are really only worried about a players ability to find the footy.
There’s no way to fix those, it’s just a simple part of the our sport but it did get me thinking, what is the best indicator of a players impact on a game? Is it score involvements? Goals? Intercepts?

@simonwest11 @StKFootball Had nothing to do w our pressure. Giants made basic unforced errors but to our credit we just capitalised off them
English

@dumblion44 @StKFootball The Giants were “ sloppy “ because of the intense pressure the back line put on them. If it wasn’t for the pressure, they would’ve kicked most of those goals.
English

@StKFootball The one thing every st kilda has in common is thinking Brad Hill has ever been a good player for us. Turnover merchant. The best game he’s ever played for us was against Collingwood. If it wasn’t for his presence in the locker room he should be delisted
English

I’ve been critical of Hill’s kicking - but it is technical as much as anything.
Here’s the key turnover that costs us.
This technique (lean back, casual ball drop, limited back lift, low speed follow through, horizontal toe) is used for “sliders” (soft kicks that float gently).

@Shrappy71 It was a weird day. Even Nas, Sinclair, Hill and Wilke were missing targets.
English

The Caminiti experiment needs to stop now. He’s about 1/2 metre away from Van Rooyen every single contest. Swing him back up fwd and give the St.kilda mids something to kick to.
Also on a side note, umpire is embarrassing again, the amount of non holding the ball decisions are ridiculous, as well as 4 yellow muppets not being able to see that the Melb player had the ball the entire time when they decided to call holding the man 🤦♂️🤦♂️

@SaintsNationAU He’s not an afl level player. Failed forward and has failed even harder as a defender
English

@davisjarrafooty He played shit. That kick with 5 minutes left into the 50 and he’s just bombed it in for a behind. Zero IQ
English

Jonty Faull is going to miss next week, but boy I love watching him play.
He plays with an anger and aggression you’d love to have in a key forward.
Once his body develops, he’s going to be scary

@stcampitelli @StKFootball Yep these 3 misses and playing Nas off the half back instead of deep in the fwd line I reckon we win this game
English

@StKFootball Sharman, Wilson and Ryan’s misses - all gimmes - 100% cost big time. On a night where goals were premium, 3 missed goals cost

@stkildafc Liam Henry did his string in Jan we are now March and he’s still 6-7 weeks away…… that’s a real bad hammy

1u - Quinten Post u15.5 PR ($1.93 SB)
#DubNation vs #TakeNote
Green and Horford should be good to go in this one. Even in to what looks like a great matchup for a Spot-Up player like Post, line just seems a few ticks to high. The LG vs MIN on Jan26th when we saw all of Green, Horford and Post play, we first saw Post get demoted to the bench again, and this PR line close at 8.5. Don't understand why he should suddenly now see a 15.5PR line when minutes are more than likely to remain the same.
With Curry, Green and Horford active, Post is under this line in 21/22 (95.5%) games this season, the only over was a game way back Oct29th, where Post saw 25MINS. If this game stays competitive, don't expect him to log massive minutes. Even when he was starting, was only seeing minutes in the teens with the other bigs active. In games this season with 10-18MINS, Post is under this line in 20/21 (95.2%) times.
❤️IF YOU'RE TAILING THIS PLAY!

@THATBOYMMAGURU Kopylov would smoke him. Gautier needs proper training next. Literally for picked apart that whole fight by a cherry picked opponent.
English

29-28 Gautier defeats Pulyaev by decision
Ateba could've got a 10-8 in round 2 maybe but he won this off of those nasty big moments early in the first round & midway through the 2nd
Other than that Pulayaev was picking at him with shots but Ateba has a hell of a chin #UFC324
