My mom took delivery of her second Tesla today, a Model Y Performance! Three years ago, it took a lot to convince her to give Tesla a chance. Her 2023 Model X was her first EV. When it came time for a new car this year, she said she will own nothing but Tesla the rest of her life. She relies heavily on FSD and couldn’t have a car without it. Thank you to the wonderful people at Tesla Sarasota for being so kind and accommodating to my mom today!!

@wholemars There is no good self driving option from tesla that isnt fsd. All others are way too sensitive with forward collision avoidance aka phantom breaking. Break-checking in traffic is not cool.

I’ll be going on a 560 mile roadtrip across 10 hours today in my friend’s 2026 Model Y. Let’s see if FSD can do it without any input. Just for the record, we had to take over yesterday in Chicago due to an issue that’s been persistent for a very long time. Video below & quite disappointing it’s still an issue.

@ryanjaycowan Do you see the amount of leg hanging off the seat cushion? This is a problem and exists on the front seat of my MY. Like sitting on the edge of a cliff. I hate the short seat cushions.

FYI sitting in the 2nd row of the Model Y L is tremendously more comfortable than sitting in the back of our normal Model Y. Much more spacious.

I have a really dumb question: Why can't we just have a flat tax rate for every person? And get rid of the stupid deductions, etc? Just have everyone pay the same rate in the U.S.? It would save us from so many damn problems. And all these idiotic arguments.

The biggest functional difference for me between my AI4 MYP and the old HW3 MYP is that I no longer have to tap on the accelerator while it drives. Ever. I pick a profile and it keeps speed. That’s the single biggest and noticeable advantage, followed by smoother ride, etc.

@JSX423 It's not an issue for me because i wont use this trash for anything except cruising down the street. Parking, passing on interstate, speed control, is trash

Why does nobody bring up how bad FSD is at reversing out of a spot? - awkwardly starts moving while a car is coming - why? Unfair in a way to cross traffic. -reverses halfway needing a complex maneuver to avoid the curb It’s so strange that nobody will discuss this issue???
