@hanaamurakami I've never met someone who knew that slur who didn't know it was a slur. You're not convincing anyone not to use it, because using it was never an accident in the first place.

@AiPinfu2003 In my state, we have what we call a "pig pickin'," where we smoke a whole hog, bones and all, basted with a sauce made of apple cider vinegar, chili peppers and ketchup. It becomes so tender, you can easily pick the bones clean. I like to dip it even more of the vinegar sauce.

@BattleByrd Ziplocks? We were fold-top baggie, sandwich in a napkin so the bag doesn't need washed to reuse it poor. I did usually have cheese on my burnt bologna sandwiches, though.

@babybeginner People really underestimate how hard it can be to socialize a truly feral cat. Often, cats people think are feral just ran off looking for 'love' and didn't find their way back home. Skittish, sure, but not at all feral.

In some northern states, they pronounce it "draws," like what an artist does with a pencil, so they're missing an R instead..

@jk_rowling @BaconRolypoly Not for going out to dinner or church, obviously, but a hoodie is very practical, especially if you're working outside. It's a jacket, a scarf and a hat all in one, and you can adjust the level of warmth on the fly. Working with machinery, a scarf can literally get you killed.

@roikfbuwgc254 It's true. We've been piling up the sticks and branches recent storms blew down, waiting to get enough to burn. It's only a spring and summer activity, though. In the autumn and winter, there's too much risk of wildfires.

@roikfbuwgc254 Yes! 😃 It’s very common for friends to get together on the weekend to sit around a fire and talk about memories and hopes. You might even have s’mores or drinks and play a game called “cornhole” or “bags” where you throw bags onto a wooden board with a hole in it for points.

@ZubyMusic Depends on the therapy. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is legit, but the 'talk about your feelings,' 'let's dig into that,' 'how is your trauma affecting you now' stuff is unhelpful. The here and now, and overcoming negative thoughts and behaviors is the only thing that helps.

When I was younger, I never heard about anybody going to therapy unless they were a war veteran or victim of some horrific crime.
And people were saner and better regulated back then.
I'm not convinced modern therapy helps most people. The opposite is possible.

It's happening ya'll. In less than a week, the SNAP program (food stamps) cannot be used to purchase candy, cookies, or soda! This is great for MAHA and so that the needy on the program are actually buying food and not just junk food on the taxpayers' dime.
