🇷🇺🇨🇳 New Gulf security architecture taking shape — ex-CIA analyst Former CIA analyst Larry Johnson says Russia and China appear to be coordinating closely with Iran on a new security framework for the Gulf. Johnson noted that both Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi used the phrase “security architecture in the Gulf” after talks with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi. 💬 “So I think Russia and China are working quietly behind the scenes,” Johnson said. 🔽 According to him, the old Gulf model was built around US military bases, arms sales and promises of protection. 🔼 A new approach, he suggested, could offer regional states a more stable and secure alternative.

Wrong on multiple counts: first, it’s wild to claim the left are the ones obsessed with Israel when Zionist lawmakers and allies are constantly passing pro-Israel speech codes, criminalizing dissent, authorizing weapons shipments and flooding elections with pro-Israel money. Second, one’s stance on genocide is a very good barometer of whether or not you are a remotely decent person worthy of elected office. Third, hard to argue Israel is just some little side issue, when their Prime Minister was literally in the Situation Room successfully pressuring our President to launch an illegal catastrophic war.

It's one thing for Democrats to downgrade the US-Israel relationship, as Democrats, Independents, and younger Republicans demand. It's another thing to become a singularly Israel-focused party. @james_billot argues. unherd.com/2026/05/dems-i…

I asked Reza Pahlavi today if he's an Israeli asset. "Of course not", the former crown prince of Iran replied. I also asked him why he does not exclude to restore a permament monarchy in Iran. Isn't that what a true democrat would do? He does not agree...

🎥 There is active debate inside Tehran over whether Iran halted fighting too soon, academic Hassan Ahmadian told Drop Site’s Jeremy Scahill. Scahill noted some experts believe the pause may have cost Iran tactical leverage by giving the U.S. time to restock. Ahmadian said there may be some merit to that view, but argued the U.S. and Israel “cannot just restart the war in two weeks” if they are “running low… [because] anti-defense missiles are not produced en masse.” Overall, he said Iran aimed to “push back in a way that forces its foes to think twice and thrice,” and believes that objective was met, with regional actors also wary of renewed war. On Israel, Ahmadian said the conflict exposed a key strategic limit: “Israel showcased once more that it cannot shoulder such a confrontation with Iran absent the U.S.… That’s a shift in the balance of power in the region.” @jeremyscahill | @hasanahmadian

Want to know why negotiations did not succeed? JD Vance: "they have chosen not to accept our terms." Bingo. No negotiations – at least with Iran – will succeed based on "our/your terms." The US must learn: you can't dictate terms to Iran. It's not too late to learn. Yet.

And Americans are not actually rooting against their country, they’re rooting against the savage faction that took power by promising to end wars and focus on America and instead launched this insane war. Nobody really believes that Trump and Netanyahu are “America” — not even them. Probably nobody cares less about America than them, frankly. By rooting against Trump and Netanyahu many people are trying to root *for* America, for America to survive and overcome them.

If this is an honest question, I’d say: Americans are rooting against America because we facilitated a genocide and followed it with a surprise attack on a girls elementary school followed by attacks on universities, medical centers, more schools, a world famous pharmaceutical research center, a volley ball team, an unfinished bridge we claimed was transporting weapons and then a nuclear power plant. We are now promising endless attacks on civilian infrastructure. We are hunting and targeting anyone who might be involved in ceasefire negotiations. Most people do not pay enough attention to have absorbed all the propaganda about the U.S. and Iran. So people coming to this fresh see us for what we are: absolute monsters. And monsters must be stopped. That’s why people are rooting against us and for civilization to prevail.

Arbitrarily arresting the niece and grand niece of the late Soleimani — apparently on the orders of Laura Loomer — actively puts innocent Americans around the world at risk. These two women were here legally and in no way involved with combat or otherwise legitimate targets for arrest and detention. Hopefully the rest of the world treats our nationals in a far more civilized way than we are treating these women who were legally in our country. All while we also attack Iran’s nuclear power plant.

BREAKING: Following my report and follow up with the US State Department in which I exposed the fact that Qasem Soleimani’s Niece Hamideh Soleimani Afshar has been living in the United States (Los Angeles, California) where she posts pro-Iranian regime and pro-IRGC content on her social media while she lives a life of luxury, the US State Department and @SecRubio have just revoked her green card and she has been picked up by ICE. She has been arrested and will be deported back to Iran! According to the official @StateDept press release, “Last night, the niece and grand niece of deceased Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps Major General Qasem Soleimani were arrested by federal agents following Secretary of State Marco Rubio’s termination of their lawful permanent resident (LPR) status.   Hamideh Soleimani Afshar and her daughter are now in the custody of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. As identified by both press reporting and her own social media commentary, Soleimani Afshar is an outspoken supporter of the totalitarian, terrorist regime in Iran. In addition to the termination of Hamideh Soleimani Afshar and her daughter’s LPR status, Afshar’s husband has also been barred from entering the United States.” Over the last few months, I have quietly been documenting all of Hamideh Soleimani Afshar’s social media activity. I uploaded it all to a secure file and shared it with DHS and Department of State, and now she has been arrested and she will be deported from our country. Thank you, @potus @SecRubio @marcorubio @ASDylanJohnson! state.gov/releases/offic…

This Was the Right Decision: Academia Cannot Be a Platform for Regime Apologists 🏛️⚖️ The University of Arkansas has terminated Dr. Shirin Saeidi and this matters. This is not about “free speech.” This is about conduct, alignment, and the integrity of academia itself. The record is clear: • She publicly praised the Supreme Leader of Islamic Regime in Iran, a regime responsible for decades of murder, oppression, and the massacre of political prisoners. ☠️ • She used official university letterhead to advocate for the release of Hamid Nouri, convicted for involvement in the 1988 mass executions of thousands of political prisoners. • She repeatedly promoted rhetoric targeting Israel, spreading inflammatory messaging far beyond academic critique into antisemitism. ⚠️ This is not scholarship. This is not neutral inquiry. This is political alignment with a regime that has blood on its hands. 💀 It gets worse: • Serious concerns exist about academic integrity, including misuse of sources and survivor testimonies in her work. This is a pattern, not an isolated issue: ✅ Advocacy for a regime official tied to mass murder ✅ Praise for authoritarian leadership ✅ Inflammatory rhetoric crossing into antisemitism ✅ Questions about academic credibility At some point, this stops being about “views” and becomes about fitness to represent an academic institution. Universities are not neutral containers. They confer legitimacy. When someone uses that platform to defend a war criminal, amplify authoritarian propaganda, and blur the line between scholarship and activism, it damages the credibility of the institution itself. Supporters may frame this as suppression. It is not. Academic freedom is not a shield for: • Defending crimes against humanity • Promoting regime propaganda • Using institutional authority to legitimize it This is why the termination matters. If this line is not drawn, academia becomes vulnerable to ideological capture by those who do not respect truth, accountability, or human rights. This decision sends a clear message: There are standards. There are boundaries. Crossing them has consequences. 🛑 #FireSaeidi #AAIRIA

AAIRIA@AAIRIA_Org

We, @AAIRIA_Org, welcome the decision by the President of the University of Arkansas to move forward with the dismissal of Shirin Saeidi. This outcome did not happen in a vacuum. For over five years, we at AAIRIA have worked to document, expose, and raise concerns about individuals in Western academic institutions who use their positions to whitewash, normalize, or directly support elements of the Islamic Republic of Iran. In this case, former political prisoners whose testimonies were cited in Saeidi’s work came forward to state clearly that they were never interviewed by her. Some of the individuals named in her research have been found to be non-existent. These findings raise serious concerns that her dissertation and subsequent book are not grounded in legitimate research, but instead reflect a combination of plagiarism and fabricated material, produced in alignment with narratives promoted by the Islamic Republic’s propaganda apparatus. AAIRIA was among the first to bring forward documentation and evidence, and we consistently called on the university to take these issues seriously. This decision shows that sustained, evidence-based advocacy can lead to institutional accountability. Universities must remain places of integrity, not platforms for laundering the narratives of regimes responsible for systematic repression and mass atrocities. This is a step in the right direction. @UArkansas #FireSaeidi
