I am heartbroken to learn of the tragic crash at LaGuardia this morning.    Thank you to the brave first responders their quick action, and I am praying for the passengers, crew, and their families.    We need an immediate investigation into what happened here so we can make sure it never happens again.

@SenSchumer This accident occured because the controller was working 2 different positions at once. The reason he was doing this is because the DEMOCRAPS will not fund the Gov't to reopen so the TSA can get paid, which has caused many to leave the jobs, no pay, can't support their families.

I just got off the phone with NTSB Chairwoman Jennifer Homendy, who told me multiple investigators are en route to LaGuardia.   Two pilots lost their lives and dozens of New Yorkers were injured, and we owe it to them and their families to find out exactly how this happened. I will be watching like a hawk to make sure the NTSB and local authorities get to the bottom of this.
