1⃣Doctors Without Borders says "collective punishment," not "genocide." Why is it Zionists always have to introduce small changes in wording to create outrages. 2⃣DWB is supplying Gazans with the water Israel fails to adequately provide. That explains how Gazans could run that race even though Israel collectively punished them.
Yehuda Teitelbaum@chalavyishmael

2 events happened in Gaza this week. 1 - Over 2,500 people participated in a 5k race. 2 - Doctors Without Borders claimed that Israel is deliberately carrying out the “weaponization of water” as part of a "genocide". You cannot comprehend how corrupt these organizations are.

Hamas militias have released a new video showing Abu Obaida—the spokesperson of Hamas’s Al-Qassam Brigades, who was killed in an Israeli airstrike last August—moving with his family on a cart. Why would one of Israel’s most wanted figures be moving among civilians, with his family? This once again reflects a deeply disgusting pattern: Hamas militias consistently operate with blatant disregard for the safety of their own families and the civilians around them.

The same fallacy that the world still needs journalists to report events at the time the global population is armed, to its teeth, with video cams and posts anything, anywhere, at the speed of light. Hezbollah begs its supporters not to share videos or details because it can’t control the flow of information. Israel can’t either. Unless you live in Iran under internet blackout (and every media report is approved by the regime), nothing goes unnoticed anymore.
Al Jazeera English@AJEnglish

Al Jazeera’s Heidi Pett says journalist Amal Khalil received threats from an Israeli WhatsApp number during the last war, warning her to stop reporting or leave Lebanon “if she wanted her head to remain on her shoulders,” before being killed today in an Israeli attack.

@AshleySchapitl I don't disagree, but 1,000 fewer hours in 6 months is a weird flex. That's one person worth. 41% is the impressive statistic here, particularly since it is accompanied by a 31% drop in violent crime (dismisses the concern they're just reducing fare evaders and counting that).

@OberenF @highonlifedeal2 @klara_sjo …. And Did Hitlers Germany control all of Poland, murdering all the ashkenazi Slavic “Jewish people” in Poland? Stop lying. He didn’t even control all of Poland. Most of the ashkeNAZI Jewish people were on the Soviet side/Eastern Europe

@BKJUHEARD @highonlifedeal2 @klara_sjo You do know almost all Jews killed in the holocaust were in Poland and Eastern Europe right? Theres a reason it went into full swing in 1942. There weren't enough Jews in Germany for them to be doing industrial slaughter during Hitlers first 9 years.

Satellite photos of Khiam are surfacing and the town does not exist anymore, completely razed to the ground This will happen to every town up to ~10km north of the border, with the exception of the few Christian towns of Rmeich&co The worst part is that Hezbollah knew this was going to happen and did it anyway

The New York Times reports that a little over 300 people were killed in these airstrikes. That may sound like a lot, but realize that 60% of those killed (180+, according to the post below) were terrorists, who are legitimate targets in military operations. That means the ratio of combatant to civilian deaths is *less than* 1:1, which is insanely low if you know anything about historical averages in wars dating back many decades.
Israel Defense Forces@IDF

✈️ Within a minute, the IDF eliminated 180+ Hezbollah terrorists in 3 areas simultaneously in a large-scale strike based on precise and high-quality intelligence. ~100 targets were struck simultaneously across Beirut, the Beqaa, and southern Lebanon, including main command centers, military structures used by Hezbollah commanders and multiple terror infrastructure sites used by top Hezbollah operatives. Prior to the strikes, steps were taken to mitigate harm to uninvolved civilians as much as possible, including using precise ammunition and aerial surveillance.

@sfrantzman @MuhibbeW Please take note that 36% of those killed were woman, children, and the elderly. It seems very plausible that the IDF is labeling all combat aged men as combatants. An impossibility and similar rhetoric used in Gaza.

@MuhibbeW I have no idea how many. That’s also why I’m against ratios as a way to view things. It’s not a good metric in my view. If it’s 70% combatants or 30%. I’d avoid it at all costs.

We hear a lot about this 1:1 ratio and I think it’s worth considering none of us would like to be on the other side of this equation. If the enemy was attacking us and saying “we are only killing one of your civilians for one of your soldiers,” none of us would want to be that “collateral damage.” Some wars in history involved large armies confronting primarily combatants, such as the battle of the Somme or Gettysburg. I think most of us would prefer to be civilians in that war, usually able to avoid the battle. If you read about Gettysburg and there had been thousands of civilians killed we’d see it differently. It’s true that modern wars are sometimes tragically fought among civilians. However, precision weapons have also ostensibly given us an ability to avoid casualties. If there are 1,000 enemy infantry in a town of 1,000 people, and the town is not an essential objective, is it good to destroy the whole place? I don’t think we’d want our civilians on the bad side of that equation. The ratio is problematic. The goal, especially with precision munitions, should be very low civilian casualties, not just the brute force of large numbers of casualties. It’s best to consider this number if we are the civilians that can be victims too. And I don’t think any of us want to be on that side of the equation. Better to humanize the civilians than just see them as a ratio. Let’s all take a step back and think hard on this.

@colwight @sfrantzman Did you say it’s war people die during October 7th? That had a 2:1 civ-com ratio. According to your perspective relatively typical for a war.
