@howling_racer @dr_obbs @dominik_balasko I think it means that the red bull's macarena wing has faster downforce recovery compared to ferrari upon closing. Perhaps that's why the Ferrari drivers are closing straight mode manually and verstappen just let it close at the end of SM point or when he presses the brake pedal

Dominik summarizes this really well in his post on LinkedIn @dominik_balasko He says, The aero behaviour on closing reflects that too. Ferrari’s flap only re-enters the slot gap suction region late in the closing stroke — delayed reattachment, wide hysteresis loop, slow downforce recovery. Red Bull’s closing sequence tells a different story: •Slot gap suction re-established from the start of the stroke •Partial attachment present early → lift builds linearly through the return •Smooth, predictable downforce recovery with no step-change in loading In practice: more consistent aero loading on corner entry, directly influencing trail-braking margin and rear stability under rotation. This is also support by the dynamic load analysis in the chart below from the simulation.

@dr_obbs To presume that a wing gets most of its downforce from the pressure ontop the element shows a lack of knowledge on the subject Wings get most of their downforce from flow attachment on the bottom of elements, re-attachment of the flow back to the underside is not instant

@Ryechq @F1BigData @ErikvHaren Ok, you're reaching bud. It took roughly 1-2 meters for the car to be settled. Cope harder. :)

Vertappen's crash was due to a rear wing failure, like in Austria qualifying 📰 @ErikvHaren

@spamproof22 @F1BigData @ErikvHaren Idk what you're referring to when you say that it "worked as designed", but, you can see that when the wing closed, he turned 1 or 1.5 tenths later. The load on the wing needs time to recover. You don't immediately get load back when the wing closed

@F1BigData @ErikvHaren False. The video shows the rear wing worked as designed and it was the driver that literally lost control of the steering wheel.

@bobby01503436 To clarify further, the wing doesn't immediately gain the load after the wing closes, it needs time to do so (about a couple of tenths). Max crashed because the wing closed literally milliseconds before he took the corner

@bobby01503436 The fact that the wing closee is not relevant. The time it takes to close is what matters. On the replay, the wing closed right before the corner. That's bad because the wing needs to regain the load (downforce) for the car to be able to take the corner properly.

@kobayashicore giving max a 9.5 after bottling quali, a win on race day and getting held up by lewis who was way slower is actually diabolical

I can't and won't take you seriously after you've given a NINE POINT OH to Verstappen for bottling an easy podium in Miami after spinning on lap 1 meanwhile Norris gets 5.5 in 🇦🇹 for getting fucked sideways strategy-wise and is somehow only NINTH best driver this season 💀💀

@noobbricks Mercedes was faster? It's pretty weird that some guys like think that just because max is fighting at the top means he's driving a rocketship. He's a very good driver and maybe you can't just accept that

@TrakenEntropy istg! like, charles has 155 GP's starts and only 8 wins... atp, he will never win a title with Ferrari... but know that he will stay longer, he can win it later! Lewis needs that 8th, idc!

Orgullo total. Esto es Red Bull. Esto es Verstappen Racing. ❤️💪 #Nürburgring24h #24hNürburgring #RedBull #VerstappenRacing #TheyWereTheBest
