My new book exposes the vainglorious Duke and Duchess’s downwards spiral over the past five years towards an inglorious endgame. Dwindling fame and fortune is forcing them to revalidate their royal status. If they were able to return to Britain to stand in public alongside King Charles, that would be their ideal photo opportunity. ✍️ Tom Bower Article | spectator.com/article/is-my-…

Together with our allies, we condemn in the strongest terms recent attacks by Iran on unarmed commercial vessels in the Gulf, attacks on civilian infrastructure including oil and gas installations, and the de facto closure of the Strait of Hormuz by Iranian forces.

This is simply not true. Women that attempt to carry out an unauthorised abortion without medical oversight will no longer be prosecuted as criminals, but treated with compassion. Abortion in the UK is still a highly regulated procedure requiring the involvement of two doctors
Dr Rahmeh Aladwan@doctor_rahmeh

The UK House of Lords has just legalised abortion up to birth. Women can now end the life of their unborn baby at any stage, for any reason, without legal consequences. A truly dark day for Britain.

@NJ_Timothy In our country single Christian women are arrested, charged and prosecuted for praying silently alone. Public silent Christian prayer criminalised. Loud public prayer in TS - a sign of our diversity! #twotierkeir strikes again! You are Xtian persecuting archhypocrites!

@BackwardsFeet So the preparing of a nuclear bomb to “wipe Israel off the face of the earth” it’s nuanced! If Iran/hamas/hezbollah/houthis lay down their arms there will be peace. If Israel lay down their arms there will be no more Israel!

@ShimonKefa76 there is, of course, such a thing as nuance and decisions beyond a black or white "rolling over" and "anything goes"

Let's be clear. Anti-Semitism, which is a hatred rooted in ethnic or religious reasons, is evil. However, disagreement with the political and military actions of the modern state of Israel is not that.
U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops@USCCB

Catholics are called to reject antisemitism and the lies and conspiracies that fuel it, and to stand clearly against hatred and violence directed toward our Jewish brothers and sisters. To defend religious freedom with integrity, we must also reject antisemitism. @ArchbishpSample @archdpdx Watch the full video at: ow.ly/sYF550Yw6cA

@BackwardsFeet Because of course had their Iranian funded bombs gone off accidentally in their residential property blowing up and killing our parishioners we should have just rolled over and said “as you were nice mr ayatollah carry on promoting worldwide terrror! Sorry to get in your way”

@ShimonKefa76 No, it is not legitimate to do "anything" to stop such a regime, which is also why Hiroshima and Nagasaki were evil.

This is how far the Conservative Party has fallen. Stoking anti-Muslim hate and dressing it up as ‘British values’. This does not represent the Britain I know or love - tolerant, diverse and proud of it. The hate being peddled towards Muslims by the Tories has no place in our politics or our society.

I’m not convinced Muslim prayer in Trafalgar Square is an act of dominance. Islam is hardly unique in considering itself the one true religion.. But the fact the PM thinks Nick Timothy should be sacked undermines the claim we are all free to criticise Islam despite the new anti-Muslim hostility definition.

@BackwardsFeet Just for a bit of extra info the Iranian Government had a cell of terrorists planning to blow up Jews in England 300m from the front door of our parish Church in Rochdale. Anything we can do stop such an evil regime is surely legitimate.

Did you know that a collective noun used to describe a group of bishops is ‘A Blessing of Bishops’? Yet here are the bishops of Gloucester, Oxford, Winchester and Norwich who have indicated that they aren’t showing up to vote against abortion to birth tonight. Apparently ‘they have other diary commitments’.🙄 Should we change the collective noun for our Bishops to an ‘Absence of Bishops’, or perhaps a ‘Disappointment of Bishops’? They’re certainly no blessing!

@spectator We don’t protect freedom of religion at all. Women who pray silently on our streets are arrested and prosecuted for simply being silent! We have freedom of religion for all but Christian’s and our new blasphemy laws protecting only one group will not help this.

When Nick Timothy posted a critical comment on X about the recent public Muslim prayer in Trafalgar Square, which included the participation of London’s mayor Sadiq Khan, opinion split quickly. Many thanked him for articulating what they felt others were unwilling to say, while others responded with sharp criticism. In Britain, we fiercely protect freedom of religion, and any criticism of someone else’s faith can easily be smeared as discrimination or inequality. It’s not in our nature to do so. But Nick Timothy did not do that. He represented a widely held concern that many ordinary citizens have, and went some was to explaining why they have it. ✍️ Jonathan Sacerdoti Article | spectator.com/article/feelin…

🚨IMPORTANT: The House of Lords won’t now begin debating the abortion up to birth clause until 8.30pm at the earliest. There will be significant pressure to rush the debate as there are 8 further groups of amendments afterwards. This is no way to pass sensitive laws! 🧵1/3
