I work in a shop that I designed and built myself. In this shop, I make a product I invented, on equipment that I also designed and built myself. I set all of this up using money that Ive already paid an income tax on. No other person on the planet can make my shop function but me. The government has never helped me a single bit with any of it, but they think they are entitled to a healthy chunk of the money I make doing it.

This is the federal income tax play all over again. It started in 1913 as a “class tax” on the rich, hitting less than 1% of the population with a 1% rate above $3,000. It expanded during WWII into a mass tax on most workers through withholding, skyrocketing rates, base broadening, and bracket creep to fund wars and spending. The wealth tax will follow the same trajectory.

A guy just charged the entrance to a ballroom with the President, Vice President and Cabinet in it, while carrying a shotgun, a pistol and some knives, and he apparently got off several shots, including hitting a Secret Service agent.
