@github An 8086, that would overclock to 10Mhz. It had 2 5 1/4” floppy drives. Nice CRT monitor. Real keyboard. Ran MS-DOS perfectly in 1989. 640KB ought to be enough for everyone.

In 2007 I was 5 sitting on the floor opening a beige desktop like it was a toy probably a pentium 4 machine with a nasty heatsink and loud fan, RAM sticks (those long green boards with black chips), wide grey ribbon cables a hot heavy metal hard drive and a noisy fan surrounded with colored wires everywhere, windows xp and a thick monitor with static at the back had no clue what any part did just knew the inside of a computer felt more interesting than nfs most wanted.

@github At a friend’s house I tried his dad’s PC, there was a NES emulator. Playing Mario Bros on something other than a NES was crazy.I asked my dad how it was possible. He said, “You can instruct computers to do it.” 🤯 that was my introduction to the idea of computers and programming.
