@DeanTTraining Saw this post yesterday and finally tried these tonight. Been years since I used this machine, and holy crap. The amount of hamstring and glute activation is unreal. Lower back got a real nice workout too. Bumping these up to be one of my go to exercises.

@gymmaxxfit Yes, a lot of people don’t realize they need to let their nervous system calm down from the hell you just unleashed on it from a heavy set. 3-5 minutes between sets in my norm.

Your rest times between sets will have a DIRECT correlation to how much more you can lift over time. The longer your rest times, the more force you can produce in your next set. The more force you can produce, the more reps/weight you will be able to shift. The more reps/weight you can shift, the more you will grow. There is no debate. Not sure why so many fail to understand this.

The marriage advice industry keeps overcomplicating the problem. Study after study keeps showing the happiest couples are the ones having regular satisfying sex. Yet modern wives will do everything EXCEPT meet their husband’s sexual needs: • endless excuses • chore-play negotiations • withholding intimacy • emotional manipulation • resource extraction without reciprocity Then everyone acts shocked when the divorce rate explodes. Men don’t leave starving relationships because of “toxic masculinity.” They leave because nobody wants to finance a roommate that treats intimacy like a hostage negotiation.

Well said. Admitting you ‘don’t need’ 3+ minutes rest after a proper working set is telling on yourself that your lifting intensity is that of a small child. Not sure why people run round the gym like a headless chicken with 1 minute rest times, super setting 3 machines at once and wear it like a badge of honour. If you are not taking sufficient rest you are not able to push your sets hard enough, end of.

@DeanTTraining 2 sets to failure. Usually get 7-10 reps. 2nd set always less. Been doing this for months and great results. Strength through the roof. If you do it right, after 2 sets you’ll be tired. Make sure your driet is in check too.

Should you ever find yourself in the gym doing a 4th or 5th working set of a SINGLE EXERCISE in a SINGLE SESSION… - Locate the locker room - Find the sink - Splash some cold water on your face - Take a good hard look in the mirror and ask yourself… “What the fuck was I doing on sets 1, 2, & 3???”

Sorry to say guys if you’re doing 4 sets for an exercise your intensity sucks. Let’s call it how it is. What you’re doing is probably 4 x warm up sets if you can push the same weight in all of them.
