Lettuce be honest, the burgers from Just Poppy’s in Goodna are incredible - but are they Queensland’s number 1? 🍔 Mark and the team are currently topping the State in our All The Best Awards ahead of Queensland Day on June 6. @negativevortex_ @Michael89529595 I will run, probably Bonner in Qld but I may go regional as my life is flexible. I will run if I have a chance of winning myself or ensuring someone I'm aligned with wins via my preferences. Rising tide lifts all boats

Today, Wealthy White Western Women rejoice, with a political party designed exclusively for them. It is a day of celebration, where W4 everyone extol "no more glass ceilings! Only glass bottles from here! we can do anything!" whilst also acknowledging the financing, ideas and coordination provided by Simon Holmes a Court, Malcolm Turnbull and Avi Yemeni. A thread

@Michael89529595 Yeah it's not a sledge. Just suggesting his recent activities to form 'splinter parties' has not gone unnoticed. May have created a catalyst in the minds of C200 folk

As Parliament returns, Australians are once again being pushed into blaming one another for an economy that feels increasingly out of reach. Young against old. Renters against owners. Workers against investors. Australians should not be forced into resentment politics while housing becomes harder to afford and the cost of living keeps rising. A stronger Australia is built by encouraging people to work, save, invest, build businesses and create homes — not by punishing aspiration. The backlash to the Federal Budget shows many Australians are deeply uneasy about the direction the country is heading. The Libertarian Party Queensland believes Australia succeeds when people are free to get ahead — not divided against each other. libertarians.org.au libertariansqld.org.au #LibertarianPartyQLD #auspol #qldpol @_davidlimbrick @LibertariansVic @CampbellNewman

@GetSmartVote_1 @OMGTheMess If you’re losing all your capital you’d best stick to working for a living. If you’re not using a corporation to manage your wealth you’re poor.

If you risk previously taxed capital by investing it, the government wants even more tax. But the government are nowhere if you lose money.

The Greens MLC Amanda Cohn is going to HATE me big time if I’m elected to the upper house next March. Recognising Biological sex doesn’t erase the existence of a certain group of people. That is a ridiculous statement. Biological sex matters. Always has and always will. I’m tired of them claiming a “majority” think this way… I highly doubt it… and you know what? Even if they did… doesn’t mean it’s right!

@fm_aus Without intimidation is the important part. Bill of rights for all Aust's. Jacob Hersant and Liam Parry both appear to have allegedly fallen foul of what should be enshrined free speech. They are the same. Their messages I may disagree with, methods illegal, but words, free.

The communists are evil and would make society go backwards if they won... but... I can't disagree with him on this point at all, he is right, we should have freedom of speech. We should have absolute freedom of speech.
Clown Wars Down Under 🤡@clowndownunder

While campaigning in the Stafford by-election, Queensland Socialist candidate Liam Parry ran into David Crisafulli and took the opportunity to ask him some questions “Why do you think it’s legitimate to take away people’s free speech? Are you gonna ban other phrases?

@StudLeeMD @OMGTheMess I don't think your post means what you think it means. Capital loss is existential and binary, not an accounting loss. Enjoy the pokies.

@StudLeeMD @OMGTheMess If you lose your capital, you can't generate a gain from it. You need new capital. Those losses are also ringfenced in the vehicle that lost them, say your business goes broke, you need to start anew for finance. When you sell, you can't use the capital loss. Tough deduction

Remember when Albanese went after Scott Morrison and telling us he'd head up a more transparent government? 🤥 ‘Lied’ .. The only transparency for many of us is how we can see straight through him. 😉 #PM

🚨 Have you been hoping for the tide to finally turn on transgender extremism in NSW? Today may be the day. NSW Opposition leader Kellie Sloane is setting the agenda ... and Premier Minns is doing the right thing by following her lead. This is what has happened. Yesterday, the NSW Minister for Women Jodie Harrison was asked her definition of a women. She declined to answer. Later that day, Opposition Leader Kellie Sloane was asked the same question. Sloane didn't muck around: “A woman is an adult biological female. Gender identity may be something different. Women’s spaces exist for a reason. We have fought for decades for the right to safety and privacy, and those rights deserve to be protected, not eroded. We can be compassionate and supportive of transgender individuals without eroding those rights.” Bravo Mrs Opposition Leader! And this morning Premier Minns has huddled with his team and then phoned @pwafork and @jmodoh of the Daily Telegraph and said, 'Hey fellas, want an exclusive?' Premier Minns told the Daily Telegraph: "Biological differences between males and females must be reflected in the law and in female sport. NSW must recognise the biological difference between people who were born male and people who were born female. NSW law will uphold those differences in prisons, and in female sport. If you’re born biologically male and you change your government certificates to be female, it will not mean that you can change from a male prison to a female prison." Okay ... so great to see everyone across the parliament (almost) has come to the same view as the Libertarian Party. Let's now move from words to action. Who is going to take the lead and draft the legislation to sort this business out? My preference is to support good legislation from either the government or opposition ... but if there's no sign either is working on drafting legislation by 7pm next Tuesday the @LibertariansNSW we will introduce legislation. That bill may not be perfect ... but it will precisely reflect the several points that the premier and opposition leader are now publicly agreed on. @ChrisMinnsMP @Kelliesloanemp dailytelegraph.com.au/news/nsw/whats…

@arbon_rob93103 @GemmaNoiosi @AlboMP Only socialism calls less tax, a hand out. Capitalism requires the government to display value for money (ROI) on tax paid. They are opposites. It's a culture war when policy is designed to take from one and give to another on the basis of political ideology.

This is the BEST troll of @AlboMP ever 🔥 Business owners posting about their “silent business partner” who takes 47% of their profits… and doesn’t have to lift a finger! A perfect protest against Labor’s capital gains tax grab. Taxation is theft. Libertarians will never vote for tax hikes - they all hurt families and businesses. @LibertariansNSW

@Phil_B7 @GemmaNoiosi @andrew_thaler @AlboMP Typical supporter of culture war thinking asking that question: - Capital carries risk of loss - Wages do not That's why, it's simple and it's real. Capital investors are the creators, wage esrners are the beneficiaries.

@GemmaNoiosi @andrew_thaler @AlboMP All they did was take away about 5% of the advantage that capital has over labour. Why do PAYG taxpayers have to carry the burden. It’s time you paid your fair share.

While the rest of the nation gets hit with higher capital gains tax, there’s a special carve-out for foreign investors in renewable energy. They get to keep the 50% CGT discount at a cost of $425 million to the taxpayer. Foreign investors already don’t pay Capital Gains tax on shares and intangible assets. Why didn’t Chalmers crack down on them? The answer of course is that the Labor party, like the Liberal party are controlled by foreign interests.! But wait there’s more. Under the capacity investment scheme underwriting agreements, if the actual revenue earned by a project is below the agreed revenue floor, the Australian government will pay the project operator 90 per cent of the revenue shortfall up to the agreed annual cap for 15 yrs. (see comments) The Labor government will grant “whatever it takes” subsidies to ensure “renewable” energy is a part of the energy grid, no matter the cost to the taxpayer. But in keeping with the government vibe of transparency the cost of the scheme can’t be disclosed and I quote. “The CIS is listed in the budget papers as a contingent liability, alongside the Snowy 2.0 hydro electric scheme, which has already blown out in costs by billions. According to the budget papers, "The Australian government's maximum liability and estimated payments under these (CIS) agreements are not for publication due to commercial sensitivities". It’s not hard to see why the major parties are struggling. Wasting taxpayers money and refusing to disclose it has to stop.
