BREAKING: Chet Holmgren has come out as gay. He is the first active gay NBA player and marks a major step towards the right direction. Holmgren plans to play with a rainbow armband to spread awareness. Holmgren hopes this inspires other basketball players to come out.

@davidyteh @SpursReporter It was definitely a "strategized tank". Traded away Derrick and Dejounte because it would have been impossible to be reasonably bad with them on the team.

@SpursReporter I have mixed feelings about whether Spurs purposely tanked. The players were just young and inexperienced. They made trades for future yes, but I didn't see healthy players sitting out. There weren't strong free agent candidates and being a young roster, no trade assets.

Take a closer look at the proposed anti tanking changes, it’s pretty clear what the league is trying to prevent. They don’t want teams engineering one strategic bad season to land a generational player. Think about the Spurs in 2022 and 2023. In 2022 they were a Play In team. In 2023 they dropped to the third worst record and had a 14 percent shot at Wemby. It paid off. Under a two year average system, that 2023 tank wouldn’t have carried the same weight. Their odds would likely have been lower, and there’s a real chance Wembanyama could have ended up in Detroit or Houston instead. Any thoughts?
