👇👇👇🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🚨🚨🚨🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 As a faithful Catholic, I am very worried. The current Pope is getting involved in politics in a way that hurts traditional Catholic values. This seems to be dividing Catholic voters in America before the important midterm elections. 🚨They are trying to weakening support for President Trump and the Republican Party. 🚨🚨🚨Left-leaning voices, like Barack Hussein Obama, Tucker Carlson, and Marjorie Taylor Greene, are heavily involved in trying to stop the Hispanic vote that is supporting President #Trump in order to stop the #MAGA movement, and they are using the Pope to do it. ⁉️⁉️At the same time, strong conservative movements are growing in #Brazil, #Colombia, #Cuba, and other South American countries. The Pope’s actions risk damaging these positive changes too. The Pope should focus only on spiritual leadership and faith, not on politics. 🟥🟥Many Catholics now believe he should resign so the Church can choose a new, conservative Pope who will protect our traditions and stay out of partisan matters. This situation is shameful for the Church.

People don't realize how big Catholicism is. Leo's in Africa where there are 288 mil Catholics. That's bigger than the global Eastern Orthodox church and 4 times the size of the US RC Church. People think hes obsessed with US politics. Believe me he has other things on his mind.

@TLMayMAGA47 @poperespecter1 I guess you and Trump wanted the pope to walk your perceived enemies out of the Vatican and not receive them like he's received countless number of people. The question is why are you all feeling so insecure.?

@realmikolson How and why does that bother? The catholic church isn't competing with others for numbers. The church has always maintained her position and those who want to stay stay and those who want to leave leave

@WellsJorda89710 You think the catholic church is like those your groups that every now and then aggrieved members wake up suddenly leave their to go open up a new group and begin to pastor those who are willing to follow him? Isn't that why you all are all over the place looking for members?

Islam has invaded the Catholic church. Conservative Catholics must fight this blasphemy. Next the pope will say Christians and Muslims worship the same God.

I mentioned that the Holy Spirit influences the selection of Popes, and the Protestants started protesting again. So some began listing “bad Popes” and asking if the Holy Spirit was involved in choosing them too Let’s be honest for a second. Being chosen by God has NEVER guaranteed that a man won’t lose his way. God chose Saul - he fell. God chose Solomon - he fell into idolatry. God chose David - he committed grave sins. God chose Judas - he betrayed Christ. So what exactly is your point? The pattern in Scripture is clear; God calls, man responds, man can also FAIL. The Holy Spirit guiding the Church does NOT mean every Pope will be morally perfect. It means the Church will not be led into doctrinal error. Even in the Bible, priests and kings held divine offices and still acted corruptly. So bringing up “bad Popes” doesn’t disprove anything. It actually CONFIRMS the biblical pattern. God has always chosen men. And men have always had the freedom to either stay faithful, or fall. As Catholics, that’s why we pray for our priests. That’s why we pray for our Pope. Because being chosen is one thing. Remaining faithful is another.

@CynicalPublius And while I have immense respect for you and my Catholic friends, I actually think what he's done is a good thing, as it reveals him as he really is, which means he reveals the church's hierarchy to be what it is. One of Trump's superpowers is making people reveal themselves.

I have been pretty emphatic the last few days in condemning Pope Leo’s foray into American politics. My detractors are having fun stating that I am doing this out of allegiance to President Trump and that I have chosen Trump over God. WRONG. The biggest reason by far why I am so vocal on this is the damage Pope Leo is doing to the Catholic Church in the USA. I believe Pope Leo has done more to harm US Catholicism in just a few days than any other Pope of the past 100 years (even Francis). Pope Leo is literally causing orthodox, faithful American Catholics to flee the Church out of disgust over his leftwing politicization and his kowtowing to Islam. Moreover, he has opened the door for boundless criticism against Catholicism from certain Protestant denominations and churches, causing untold harm to Christian ecumenism in the USA. It is precisely because I care so much about the Church that Jesus founded in AD 33 that I oppose the havoc Pope Leo has unleashed in the US Church. (And yes, under Church doctrine and as a Catholic, I am fully entitled to hold such beliefs and express them.)

I must resign from @KofC. I did not realize I was joining a partisan political organization. I will miss the fellowship and fish fries, for sure. So many good and decent men.
Knights of Columbus@KofC

Statement From Supreme Knight Patrick Kelly: In recent days, many Catholics and other people of goodwill have been deeply disappointed by the disparaging comments directed at Pope Leo XIV by the President of the United States. The Successor of Saint Peter is not a politician — he is the Vicar of Christ, entrusted with proclaiming the Gospel and shepherding souls. The Knights of Columbus has always stood in solidarity with the Holy Father, recognizing in him a spiritual father who calls the world not to division, but to unity, not to conflict, but to peace. In this moment, we reaffirm that commitment with clarity and conviction. At the same time, we recognize that faithful Catholics can and do engage vigorously in the public square, and that nations have a right and duty to safeguard the security of their own people — always in accordance with the demands of justice and the pursuit of peace. The Church does not ask Catholics to withdraw from civic life, but to engage with and elevate it — bringing to our civic dialogue the light of truth, respect for the dignity of every human person, and a steadfast concern for the common good. Pope Leo XIV has consistently called for peace, dialogue, and restraint in a world marked by war and suffering. The Holy Father’s words are not political talking points — they are reflections of the Gospel itself. Whether one agrees or disagrees with particular policy judgments, the Holy Father’s prophetic voice deserves to be heard with respect and engaged seriously. As Knights, we are called to be men of unity, as followers of Christ and patriotic citizens. I encourage all Knights of Columbus to pray for the Holy Father, to pray for civic leaders, and to pray for peace and those working to achieve it. And let us recommit ourselves to charity in our public discourse. May we be known not for echoing the divisions of our time, but for healing them. In a moment of tension, the path forward is not louder conflict, but deeper fidelity — to truth, to charity, and to the Gospel.

Coming for the Pope, absolutely not. Let's put aside the Nigeria situation for a second. You, the Pope, is presently in Cameroon, a country that has serious political crisis and security issues, and you're also to visit Equatorial Guinea soon. Democracy is almost nonexistent in both countries at this point, but you grace the countries with your presence and also met with the presidents who have been heavily criticized across Africa. Let's not even talk about the reported difficulties for Christianity in Algeria, yet your presence was also felt there. Not coming to Nigeria is great, the country isn't at its best due to bad leadership. However visiting other countries and meeting with the leaders whose political recklessnesz is talked about, while being the Pope, is questionable.
Pope Leo XIV@Pontifex

Woe to those who manipulate religion and the very name of God for their own military, economic, and political gain, dragging that which is sacred into darkness and filth. #ApostolicJourney #Cameroon vatican.va/content/leo-xi…

Donald Trump is the true definition of “God works in mysterious ways.” It now makes perfect sense why he came back as president of the US and the Free world. Let me explain. Imagine what would have happened to the world if we had a combination of a "woke" Democrat as US President and a "woke" Pope of the universal Church? Jihadists would have overrun the world while the Pope preached "peace and unity" instead of Justice, and Democrats preached open borders and suicidal empathy. Yes, the same “woke” Democrats that for years called the Christian genocide in Nigeria “farmer-herder clashes due to land and climate change.” And in those years, jihadists ran wild, infiltrated our systems, and left countless mass graves and IDP camps full of helpless, broken Christians. Donald Trump came back and declared Nigeria a Country of Particular Concern, and the world began to see the truth. God somehow knew we were going to get a woke, politically correct, virtue-signalling Pope, who will care more about being loved by Muslims than defending Christians against Islamic jihadists. So God sent us Donald J. Trump to balance the scales around the world. To even the odds. Because who would helpless Christians and the persecuted have turned to? Is it the Pope that condemns an attack on Christians by Islamic jihadists without mentioning the word “Christians”? Or one that calls for peace where justice is needed? The stone which the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone. The ways of God are not the ways of man. I now understand why he was depicted as Jesus Christ and as a Pope. Thank God for Donald J. Trump. It is now clear why he is here.
