I understand why Pokemon players are defiantly arguing why its not gambling. However my point is clear. There has not been any ruling carving out TCGs from gambling laws
They operate in a gray area
I play MTG and played Pokemon the day it came out, I agree they are skill based.
However with casinos popping up everywhere new challenges are going to emerge as to who has the right to host card games, how we apply the predominant factor test to every new game, and when an entry fee is gambling.
Its going to be insane applying the predominant factor test to every single TCG to figure out the degree of skill or chance.

@PureSSB @by_aristeele @peach2k2 If the predictor thinks you'll always optimize for outcome by selecting both boxes (assuming he wants you to get as little money as possible), you are never getting the 1M no matter what you do. Box B will always be empty.

@by_aristeele @peach2k2 the predictor knows you will use this logic, and thus will put $0 in the box for you. I use the logic that if I have $1,000,000 then I don't care about the $1,000 so the predictor will put $1,000,000 in the box for me. I am optimizing by taking only one box

Without being rude you don’t understand the inputs nor the parameters of the problem being solved for.
There is no way for you to optimize the predictors prediction, so the only logical decision to make is to optimize for outcome.
Regardless of what you choose, the predictor is going to make their decision.
You can’t control that.

@DistantCoder most lists I've seen recently have been playing 2-3 finmel since it's a starter for non-finito lines, so it's interesting to see a topping list still playing 1

Here's the list I played for the Giant Card.
I got destroyed in the main event with a very different list, I read the meta wrong and built for decks I didn't really see.
This list was much better suited into the field, I got 3rd place with my only loss being to Exodia FTK bs.
