I am increasingly convinced that this will be David Eby's last legislative session as Premier.
Eby is the focus of much of the blame but all NDP MLA's who supported the reckless, dangerous experiments like decriminalization, "safe supply", a reconciliation agenda that led to court decisions like Cowichan, out of control use of MAID that goes way beyond what other provinces would tolerate and so much more.
On the economic front, the NDP policies have led to record debt and deficits, non-stop downgrades to our credit rating, people fleeing the province, surging unemployment, a collapsing forest industry, collapsing business confidence...
A Healthcare system that is unrecognizable from ten years ago, addicts dying on our streets, declining educational outcomes, post secondary institutions obsessed with fringe DEI programs over merit while campuses become unsafe for Jewish students, criminality that drives out business...
Every single NDP MLA had a role to play in this.
British Columbia has suffered while NDP staffers and politicians have themselves raised and promotions.
It's time they are shown the door.
All of them.

@MartinJack3192 @War_Radar2 Must have missed it. Honestly, I just assume everything I’m seeing right now is bullshit, and I don’t speak mandarin.
English

@TonyUskimo @War_Radar2 Ummm, you may want to review recent statements regards ignoring any blockade.
English

@MartinJack3192 @War_Radar2 In fairness, I haven’t actually seen any Chinese sabre rattling. Lukashenko is an assclown who needs to be dispatched by his own people.
English

China’s looking more like a tissue tiger than a paper one, Lukashenko is still glued to Putin’s backside, and Iran seems determined to bulldoze itself back to the Stone Age. If I were Beijing, I’d be questioning the battlefield usefulness of my allies instead of rattling sabres at the very customers keeping the cash register ringing. Starting trouble with your best clients is not exactly genius-level statecraft.
English

@ChrisKFilms @between2pipes Buddy, Linden was in the right all along. I just can’t see anything with this franchise functioning properly unless aquelinni stays out of the day to day operations.
English

@between2pipes That’s the idiot who thought Jim Benning was qualified to be a GM. Fuck that.
I can’t believe how dumb some Canucks fans are.

@Laurie0801 I’m Canadian. I pay my taxes. I can’t get a family doctor. The only thing universal about our healthcare system is the bill.
English

@StatisticalMind @AnnoyedSoFLGuy @SinanAkyuz73 I agree, but you can see that a ton of those soldiers have been conscripted from the east. Kinda sad.
English

@AnnoyedSoFLGuy @SinanAkyuz73 Russia can go home at anytime and the war ends. Until that day Ukraine will kill the illegal invaders by any means necessary.
English

@AnnoyedSoFLGuy @MitchFlan @SinanAkyuz73 Believe whatever you want, retard. This is a Russian war of aggression. There hasn’t been something this egregious in the west since Germany invaded Poland in ‘39.
English

@benclarkson @Nomadd_d801 Canada has effectively banned ocean fishing on the pacific. Unless you’re native.
English

It's very funny. When I was an active climate activist people would always respond to our arguments with "what about China?" - now China has lapped us environmentally.

Por volta de 2013 a cidade de Chengdu tem adicionado trepadeiras em seus viadutos para conter ilhas de calor e o difícil trabalho de tornar essa infraestrutura mais agradável.
English

@benclarkson China commissioned over 50 new coal fired plants last year. They may be leading the charge with renewables but it’s not like they’re reducing traditional sources of energy.
English

@KurtBoyer7 @barn_burner19 Whatever. Can’t win them all. (Which up to this point we had). But that’s not what I’m talking about. It’s about putting go your team before yourself. These guys remind me of NBA players. It’s pathetic.
English

@barn_burner19 @TonyUskimo Pardon me, I'm pretty new to the sport. Sounds like the losers from the USA must have not even medaled at the last Olympics or Worlds, those losers haha.
So, um, who won, anyway?
English

So what I’m learning is that this golden generation of American players don’t have the skin or heart to play in a Canadian market where hockey matters more than anything else.
Good riddance losers.
Brendan Batchelor@BatchHockey
Jim Rutherford: Some people think Quinn left here because the team wasn't any good. He was leaving anyways, and the best example I can give you is Matthew Tkachuk. #Canucks @Sportsnet650
English

@barn_burner19 Honestly. I was a flames fan my whole life but swore off the NHL the week Chucky and Johnny left. Adam Fox had also refused to sign. It never used to be this bad and these guys are just selfish pieces of shit. Lindros was an anomaly at the time. Now it’s the norm.
English

@TonyUskimo Idk I know I was quite hyperbolic (I was in the moment and did not expect it to pop off) but I actually don’t think it’s all of them. The habs have a good thing and a lot of that has to do with good management/ownership.
It’s both.
English

@guyfelicella The two most influential people on earth right now are Trump and Netenyahu. It’s not even close. Influential does not mean benevolent.
English

Canada’s Mark Carney ranked #2 on the TIME 100… right behind the Pope.
🇨🇦
But hey… whatever you do, don’t let Pierre Poilievre see this.
Wouldn’t want him finding out what credibility looks like 🤭

English

@AndieWinnipeg @NDP The NDP will always have a rock solid support base of the dumbest 10% of people in Canada.
English

I think…..I think the @NDP may actually be back?
English

@mikefarnworthbc @TranBC The NDP in a nutshell. $1.6b to replace a bridge with the same size bridge in a growing city.
English

While deconstruction of the Pattullo Bridge pushes ahead, the landmark stal̕əw̓asəm Bridge has been serving the people of New Westminster, Surrey, and the region for more than two months.

@timthielmann Don’t forget. The gulf islands (where many MLAs have a second home) are exempt.
English

Is there a dumber tax than this one?
They send out 1.7 million forms to home owners knowing that less than 1% of those people actually have to pay this tax. There is already a five year backlog on collections. And all the tax does is punish people who have been successful enough to buy more than one property.
Rental units are opening up and prices are coming down, not because of housing taxes, but because the federal government has finally slowed down immigration into the province just a tiny bit.
Tara Armstrong@TaraArmstrongBC
The NDP’s Speculation and Vacancy Tax is ineffective and punitive. It’s failed to lower rental prices yet still punishes thousands of Canadians for owning residences that were never meant to be market rentals. I’m introducing a bill to repeal the tax. Sign the petition below.
English

@mvbenter @MarcNixon24 They are trying to “out left” the NDP in a world where the Overton window has shifted to the right. They will most likely hold no seats after the next election as their two seats they have now are the result of three way races.
English

@MarcNixon24 She’s the Leader of the Party, but she’s not an MLA
English

@JoseMaGarciaSua It’s doable, but you need a clear line of site and your losses would still be way higher than transmission.
