Not only is this unrealistic, it’s borderline cult-like. People are allowed to process information in real time and come to their own conclusions.
If opinions shift when you’re gone, that doesn’t mean something went wrong. It usually means the narrative you’re trying to maintain can’t stand on its own without constant reinforcement.
