President and CEO of NJ Transit Kris Kolluri told reporters Friday that regional transportation tickets for FIFA World Cup matches will be sold on a "first come, first serve" basis. He said "once 40,000 tickets are done, that is the end of it." Those unable to secure a ticket to get to the game will "have to go somewhere else," he said.

Thousands of ultra-luxury apartments in NYC have wealthy owners who pay zero in local income taxes because they don’t claim residency here. It’s only fair that these owners contribute to the cost of city services. This is a sensible proposal from Gov. Hochul.

Guy I work with told me he just doesn't pay medical bills Doctors appointments, surgeries, urgent care... none of it. Says he hasn't paid a single medical bill in 8+ years Says it doesn't count against credit because medical is usually deleted from reports when applying for loans Drives 2 brand new vehicles, has a big house, lives in good area... just doesn't pay any medical bills

In high school, I tore my ACL playing soccer and was on crutches for 6 months...and got attacked by a loser while sitting out gym class. School had a stupid rule about how, in any physical fight, both parties had to be punished equally. When I pointed out that...obviously...the kid on crutches did not start the fight, the Vice Principal scoffed and asked me why I was daring the Question Authority. School bureaucracy radicalizes many conservatives because its so obviously stupid, actively harmful, and punishing to the victim.

A guy I used to work with hit me up last night. Dude was making $260k in tech. Nice house, $4,700/month mortgage, two cars, vacations every few months. Got laid off 7 months ago. Still nothing. Said he’s down to $22k and burning $5,500 a month. Wife at home, one kid. He told me he checks his bank app before he even gets out of bed now. This is someone I saw winning in real life. Save your money. Because when it flips, it flips fast.

@Bison716 @Rightanglenews Did you just try to equate a police officer trying to stop a fleeing criminal on a bike with throwing rocks off an overpass at innocent people? What the fuck are you smoking? Do you idiots ever take a step back and think about what you are saying?

@Rightanglenews I’m very pro LEO but what the PO is on video doing was a bad decision and is worthy of at least an involuntary manslaughter conviction, other cases have nothing to do with the former PO’s case, throwing that cooler was no different than throwing rocks off an overpass for kicks.

@JohnnyFSE @UsingLyft This is great stuff but state law varies so drastically from state to state when it comes to laws surrounding detention and release. In most instances it will be apples to oranges. Something to keep in mind as you expand. I will be following along for sure

I built CourtWatch.us — a free public database for American citizens who deserve safer communities. You can track which judges released defendants who then got rearrested, skipped court, or violated their release conditions. All public records. All free. I started with Orange County FL and will be expanding to all 67 Florida counties and eventually every state in the country. This first batch of info is from 2024 and since public reports are released in March/April for the previous year, data is behind. But I wanted to see if this is plausible. After adding 2024,I'll add 2025 and then figure out how to get real-time-data uploaded. It's in beta — would love to know what you think 👇 Numbers don't lie, but criminals do. courtwatch.us @bennyjohnson @jockowillink @GrantCardone @LauraLoomer @nickshirleyy @j_fishback

I am imploring that the collective internet take a step back and understand how the justice system works, that this is not a plea of insanity at the time of the murder, and incompetence to stand trial is not a defense of the crime. It is a constitutionally protected right, that you have to be able to understand the proceedings and help in your defense. Also, this trial is not over, the defense and prosecutor agreed to a 180 day hold, and the trial will continue once it is determined he is fit to stand trial. I like everyone else want to see him found guilty for the heinous crime, but the rage bait/ignorance over this is too much. No matter what this guy will never walk the streets again. justia.com/criminal/proce…

Yep. SCOTUS says Tennessee v. Garner, 471 U.S. 1 (1985) Primary Holding Under the Fourth Amendment of the U.S. Constitution, a police officer may use deadly force to prevent the escape of a fleeing suspect only if the officer has a good-faith belief that the suspect poses a significant threat of death or serious physical injury to the officer or others.

@dmoonglampers_ @wil_da_beast630 FBI data is just biased arrest data. If we look at drug use, white and black people use drugs at the same rate. But guess which race is 10x more likely to be arrested for drug-related crimes? Same reason they demonize marijuana but opioids use is a “public health crisis”.

We...don't. The Black IQ, with the population set at 100 - which is where the white mean/range below comes from - is 91, not "75." Black people make up 13% of the population, and commit ~15% of Index/felony violent crimes vs whites/Caucasians (BJS-NCVS 2023). Crime is down by about half since the 1980s. We ALL want vengeance for Iryna. But, this "dissident" stuff is just a lighter-toned version of race hustling.

@koolranchgary @AstronomyRyan @usa_retro Not really true. If your property is increasing in value, that only benefits your net worth. It does nothing to put food on your table or pay your bills. If anything, it actually makes things harder for you because then your property taxes and insurance rates go up.

@GMErectheus @usa_retro I'm a millennial and I've seen the opposite. Millennials are far more responsible with their money than the generations prior. Boomers and Gen X refuse to be responsible with money because they had it so easy their entire lives.

Too many young people are resenting Boomers, claiming that Boomers had it " easy " financially in their youth. Here are a few fun facts about growing up Boomer. 1. Almost everyone grew up with one bathroom. Mom, Dad and all 3-6 siblings. 2. If you did get to take a vacation, you drove. With no air conditioning. No cup holders. No iPads. Just black vinyl seats and bologna sandwiches. 3. There were no club sports. No Parks and Rec activities. Summer camp was for rich kids. Get yourself a bike, a stick and a few friends. If you were bored, you laid in the grass and looked at clouds. 4. You ate what was served. Even if it was chicken livers. No DoorDash, no backup Totino's rolls. 5. No AP classes, no PSEO, no "fun" elective. They assigned you to a class. You went. You did what they asked. Or else. 6. Unless you had rich parents, you had a nice VFW wedding. Maybe rent a room at a modest hotel. 7. Most Boomers got their first pedi and mani in their 50s (when their feet got farther away). We didn't even know people got massages in real life, only in Hollywood. 8. You packed your own lunch for decades. 9. No one knew what red light therapy was, a facial, a spa day, or a cold plunge. Your gym was the YMCA. Usually in a rather old building. 10. We grew up with 18 percent inflation, 14 percent mortgage rates, 3 million continuing unemployment claims, and 200 other applicants competing for the same job. Now, this is not to say Millenials and Gen Z have it easy or don't face problems. It's just to say, nobody has it easy or doesn't face problems. My only hope, as my mom would say, is I live long enough to see my kids' kids complain about how easy they had it!

22-year-old Wisconsin teacher Nadia Horn groomed three 16-year-old boys, buying one a phone so he could send her “really revealing” nude pics on Snapchat. She had full sex with one pupil three times in her apartment and slept with a second teen. Then she invited all three boys round, plied them with wine and let them stay the night. Horn confessed but claimed it “felt mutual” and “I made a mistake”. Now charged with second-degree sexual assault of a child plus multiple counts of child enticement and sexual assault by school staff. Faces up to 40 years behind bars.
