The Eph/ephrin pathway is a core driver of vascular leak and endothelial damage in #sepsis but can be targeted effectively with an Eph decoy, show new experiments involving mice and samples from hospitalized children. @neurocomplement @UQMedicine scim.ag/6JF

Eph/ephrins and vascular leak markers were also increased in 91 children with suspected sepsis, with levels of Ephrin A1 and EphA2 correlating with severity of organ dysfunction. Targeting Eph/ephrin signaling may be a promising approach to treat endothelial dysfunction in sepsis
