@TracyWesterman @xskinn I’m in regional Vic, Hanson has very vocal followers on our local fb. I truly think we can plant the seeds of mistrust in her by using language they understand. Rational thinking does not work. The most strident local sovcits/antivaxxers are her most vocal supporters.

Pauline Hanson has suddenly become the barometer of intelligence according to One Nation supporters on my feed. This is someone who called Trump “Senator,” struggled to pronounce Netanyahu, claimed Trump has “freed” Iranians by bombing them, (including schoolgirls) called for Australia to join an illegal war, couldn’t understand how submarines work while sitting on the Senate Foreign Affairs, Defence and Trade Legislation Committee, didn’t understand election promise costings, has been objectively found by Australian courts to be racist, and in 30 years has not introduced a single piece of successful legislation to fix one thing she’s spent three decades whingeing about. 9.1 million people watched a Rear Admiral have to school her on how submarines work when she sat on a defence and trade legislative committee. Yes-about defence! The bar for leadership is seriously underground for this lot. And One Nation supporters flooding my feed with insults and abuse. That’s all they’ve got. No argument. No facts. Just noise. The videos are doing the rounds. You’re welcome.

@Peter_Fitz Sorry Peter but I don’t think it is. PHON doesn’t appeal to that level of thought. They appeal to emotion. Their supporters aren’t united in favour of things they’re united against things. Unfortunately having no policies and vile candidates doesn’t diminish the appeal to some.

Fair enough. But, equally, let's have a look at what Australia thinks after we get a good look at who the latest One Nation politicians are, what they propose, how they perform, and how long they stay. Is that, equally, a good point?

Dementia/Alzheimers is a cruel disease. I looked back at Dennis Cometti's final radio call of the 2021 GF, and to witness his gradual decline was frightening and sobering. Dennis was often out and about in the Mount Hawthorn/Yokine area, and the last time I saw him in Coles he was visibly shaking and incoherent. Previously he was negotiating the Dog Swamp carpark on foot and was clearly struggling to maintain his footing. Apart from the odd approach those around him showed enormous respect, but we were witnessing the decline of one of the sharpest minds in Australian media broadcasting. When he called the 2016 Western Bulldogs GF triumph my Mum was in the early stages of her dementia journey. She's now at the point of not recognising me, and a fall has robbed her of any mobility or quality of life. Spending time in a dementia focussed care facility brings it all home in terms of trying to maintain a healthy lifestyle through exercise and one's chosen dietary beliefs. #carnivorediet

This is getting boring, y’all think it’s some gotcha. I was asked to work by my employer. I agreed. I could’ve spent the day with my partner, family, friends. But no I worked because I’m reliable. @xskinn I was pleasantly surprised looking at weekend forecast in central Vic then realised I was looking at the dates, not temps!

I checked BOM to see what the temp was before I went into town and it showed 22°. I go outside and I thought,bloody hell it feels warmer than that. I forgot I checked Melb for the next 4 days and forgot to change it back to Benalla. HA!😂😂🤣Ian
