Alright, Noted with thanks. I actually commented because she said she couldn't do what the instructor instructed because she is on her period. I felt it was actually about the inconvenience of period pain. In my mind I was like you should not have been there in the first place. You can do your Yoga at home for the same effect.

@Healthwolf2 @Softnessa_ Period pain can be debilitating, this is true. What works for one woman might not work for another, and what works for one cycle might not work for another. If it's not so bad she can move, exercise can help. There was no lie told.

The level of engagement on this tells me I struck a nerve. Interesting.
Reading through the comments, a few things stand out:
According to many here, period pain is apparently not significant enough to prevent high-intensity physical activity, gym, Olympics, medals, all apparently on the table. Noted.
Which then raises a legitimate question: if the gym is perfectly doable during menstruation, what exactly is the basis for period leave in workplaces? The two positions seem difficult to reconcile.
If the argument is that period pain is severe enough to warrant time off work, then surely it's also severe enough to make the gym, a place of voluntary exertion, a less than obvious priority. If it's not, then perhaps my original point stands more than the reactions would suggest.
Either way, the reactions themselves have been instructive.

I know of a lady who never ate at funerals, when she lost her mom she slaughtered 2 cows. Catering was on point. After the trip to the cemetery everyone passed by her house just to wash their hands and went to their homes. Leaving her with all that food.
