@FaraOn13thFloor @SecMullinDHS Sec. Mullin keep the hold USCIS as the Iranians who came here on legal Student visas now want green cards. Their argument about Islamic regime is all noise since they grew up there as Regime was alive and well. Besides if we cancancel TPS ,then it we should send Iranians home.

Secretary @SecMullinDHS You have always recognized that the people of Iran are not the same as the regime, and you clearly see the distinction between legal and illegal immigration. Unfortunately, what is happening right now seems to reflect the opposite. Many legally vetted Iranians who came to the United States lawfully, and who strongly oppose the Islamic Republic, are being affected by the USCIS hold on benefit applications because of circumstances completely outside their control, namely their country of birth. What was in our control was following every rule, every requirement, and every legal step, and we did exactly that. I respectfully ask that this distinction be reflected in policy decisions and that legally present Iranian students and professionals be supported by lifting this hold. Protecting this community means preserving talent that strengthens America and reflects the shared values that define it. 🇺🇸🇮🇷 @USCIS @DHSgov #USCISpause #LiftTheHold

🚨 JUST NOW — DHS SEC. MARKWAYNE MULLIN: "We want legal immigration. We are a nation of immigrants." INGRAHAM: "The right kind of immigrants." MULLIN: "That's right." INGRAHAM: "We want MASS DEPORTATIONS, Mr. Secretary! That's what the American people voted for." MULLIN: "We want to deport ALL those individuals who came in illegally."

@bofrench Same of old excuse of our ancestors were settlers when they killed thousands of red Indians and grabbed their land. Let’s just say they were killers first and then settlers. lol

Wife and I recently started searching for homes further beyond the burbs in the country. The goal is to find something affordable that gets us away from the H1B invasion. The moment we pull up to the first house we see Indians all over the street. There’s no escape now.

@SanDiegoKnight The H1 Visa is a major issue but lately I have reading about Iranian PhD and MBA students who take jobs from Americans after their making their arguments that they be given green cards to stay because they are educated. This practice of backdoor immigration should be stopped.

This is a shift you don’t see every day: JD Vance is telling college students to lobby against H-1B visas. Framing it as a jobs and wages issue for young Americans. This isn’t just immigration policy anymore. It’s becoming a Gen Z employment issue. justthenews.com/government/whi…

It is not opinion. It is basic math. About 29k U.S. MD and DO graduates compete for roughly 44k residency positions each year. That leaves 13k to 15k seats that must be filled by someone qualified. That is why the U.S. recruits top physicians from around the world, trains them to its standards, and integrates them into its workforce. They do not merely fill gaps. They sustain patient care, drive research, and strengthen the entire system. This is part of why U.S. medical training remains among the strongest in the world to recruit international talent and maintain high standards. The system is also tightly regulated and deliberately gatekept through strict residency requirements. Even fully trained physicians from abroad must repeat 3 to 5 years of U.S. residency, reinforcing consistent standards while inherently limiting direct global competition. If the goal is to increase the number of U.S. citizens entering medicine, then address the barriers within the pipeline. Expand financial support for medical education. Improve resident compensation and working conditions. Do not scapegoat the physicians who sustain the system. That approach does not lead to reform. It leads to failure and harm.
TRT World@trtworld

Viral claims say foreign medical graduates are taking residency spots from US-born graduates. Facts and data show otherwise, however: the foreign doctors are filling critical gaps in the health system that Americans don’t want to fill. Here’s more

@ForouzFrz I am sorry to say this is another elitist argument.Great you got your MBA,so why don’t you go back help the people of Iran. And don’t give us the argument of brutal regime, you grew up in it. Besides getting a student legally doesn’t automatically give you right to live here. lol

I need to talk about this. I moved to US 4.5 years ago to go to Kellogg. Got my MBA and now I work at a top consulting firm averaging 75+ hours a week helping some of the biggest American companies grow. That is literally all I do and think about - how to make these businesses better. And I'm not unique in this. There are thousands of Iranians in this country doing exactly the same. Engineers, doctors, researchers, founders. People who came here the right way, jumped through every hoop, and just work. Really, really hard. But this USCIS hold has frozen everything in their lives. Green cards, H-1Bs, OPT for students graduating in weeks... even spouses of American citizens can't get their cases processed. People who've been here for years and did nothing wrong. And the part that kills me is I'm hearing from really talented friends that they are seriously looking at leaving for Canada or UK. These are people America invested in and should be fighting to keep, and instead we're pushing them out the door. How does that make any sense? How is this good for America? #LiftTheHold #USCISHold #LiftThePause

We’ve heard from nursing homes in our district that will lose skilled and dedicated nursing staff if TPS is not renewed. These are Haitian immigrants who are working, paying taxes and contributing to our economy and fulfilling a healthcare need. To strip them of their status and deport them to a country in peril would be uncompassionate and misguided. washingtonpost.com/business/2026/…

@Mahsa_Hojabri The other elitist argument deserves reward and the poor refugees trying to make a living in USA shouldn’t be allowed and it doesn’t matter to you. The other red herring is brutal regime in Iran that had been in existence for 47 years ,hating America. You grew up there. lol

@Mahsa_Hojabri Here is a problem with your argument. A small skilled Iranians came to study with the specific purpose of getting green cards. And they did take jobs from Americans. There are always critical shortages and the administration has the right to refuse legal Status.

America is a privilege, not a right. Safety must always come first. 🇺🇸 Let’s be clear: legal, law-abiding, highly educated immigrants are not the same as those who break our laws. Americans should be employed. America must always come first. ✅ At the same time, highly skilled Iranian immigrants are a small minority, filling critical shortages in medicine, driving innovation in tech, and advancing research. They’re not taking jobs, they’re strengthening America. Secure the border. Enforce the law. And give opportunity to those who help America lead. After decades under a brutal regime, Iranians who come here legally are simply asking for a fair chance. #LiftTheHold #USCISpause

A quick shout out to who I consider a great friend. @AlexDuncanTX is just 1K away from 100K! I am glad to see the success he has had on this platform as well as in life in general. He is no doubt a great man who loves God, his family, and his country. He has stayed consistent, spoken truth without apology, and shown real character through every challenge. I know that most who follow me probably follow him too, and for good reason. He is the kind of leader and friend this movement needs more of. Let's help push him past the 100K mark! God bless you, brother. Keep fighting the good fight.

H Res 965 is backdoor amnesty for hundreds of thousands of Haitians who came into our country illegally. It is an abject disgrace and a shameful betrayal of everything Republicans ran on in 2024. All conservatives should vehemently rejected it. Unfortunately, the bill was just discharged on the House floor with 219 votes. We will vote on final passage of the bill tomorrow.

U.S. Rep. Brittany Pettersen
Trump's attempt to terminate temporary protected status for 350,000 Haitian nationals is beyond cruel. These are people who have spent 15 years building lives, paying taxes, and caring for our most vulnerable. Over 20% of Haitians in the US work in healthcare. If Trump ends Haiti TPS, seniors across Colorado and the country will be denied the care they need. I'm proud to have signed @RepPressley's discharge petition and proud to vote YES to extend Haiti TPS.
Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley@RepPressley

Right now, more than 350,000 Haitians in the US face the threat of losing Temporary Protected Status. It is cruel, unlawful, & life-threatening. This week, we're forcing the House to vote on extending TPS for Haiti. This is good policy, good for families, & good for America.

@SanDiegoKnight Don’t Believe what JD Vance says. There has been hardly any reduction. In fact ,the problem is Tech Companies keep pushing renewables. Once you stop renewables, the H1 visa will have no chance to get green cards and it will reduce the demand for H1 visas. lol

Vice President JD Vance stated that new H-1B visas are down roughly 90% under the Trump administration through administrative action alone. To clarify: H-1B visas are temporary work visas for specialty occupations, with an annual cap of 85,000 new visas (65,000 regular + 20,000 for advanced-degree holders). Vance was referring specifically to new issuances (initial approvals for first-time entrants), not extensions or renewals for workers already in the U.S.
Nick Sortor@nicksortor

🚨 JD Vance just highlighted the MASSIVE reduction in H-1B visas and FAKE asylum claims under the Trump admin "The number of new H-1B visas is down about **90%** in the United States of America." "That's something we accomplished PURELY through administrative action." "If you came in on a fraudulent asylum claim, you are an ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT!" SEND THEM ALL BACK!
