I'll admit, I replied to a post yesterday and made a joke. I feel kinda bad about my joke now. Does this statement change your opinion on the slow play incident from yesterday? I feel bad for her for sure. I sympathize even. But I still think it should be a penalty.

Last year a warning against anti-Semitism was added to the Holy Week section of the missalette. It reminded me of the warning on cigarette packs. Perhaps devout Catholics should stay home during Holy Week to avoid committing the sin of anti-Semitism when listening to the Gospel?

Why is @BishopBarron applauding Paula White after throwing @CarriePrejean1 under the bus? Why didn't he tell Ben Shapiro that baptism is necessary for salvation? Why is he silent on President Trump's prosecution of a clearly immoral war being waged against civilians in Iran? Why does he support the crowd who said "we have no king but Caesar?" It's especially painful to see him do this during Holy Week.

Bishop Baron and his media content was instrumental in bringing me back to the church a few years ago. I am forever grateful for that. However, lately he seems more like a politician than a theologian or a Shepherd. Paula White and her antics at the White House should be called out for what they are, heretical. It's not Christianity it's a circus. It all reminds me of something Fulton Sheen said. "The laity are crucial to saving the Church." Stating it is not solely the duty of bishops and priests. He believed laypeople must actively live their faith, hold clergy accountable for their spiritual duties, and ensure the church's mission continues through active, informed participation.

I am a new Catholic but I am deeply concerned about Bishop Barron. Paula White in an unabashed heretic. He remained silent when His Eminence was refused from the Holy Sepulchre but penned a Twitter novel lambasting Carrie PreJean over her theologically-sound views regarding Zionism. Today, the Bishop promotes Ben Shapiro as his friend— Ben, to his credit, has always been honest about his views that Christ was a criminal who is burning in feces in hell. I will remind you he also once told Ben that he could be saved, before backtracking. I ask you sincerely, what is the proper recourse for this within the church?

Are you ready to lose some driver distance? In 2030 you will be. If you hit driver 220 yards you will lose 4.5 yards. An elite pro like Rory will lose 12 yards. This ball rollback is a start, but imo not nearly enough. Rory going from 325 to 315 won’t change almost anything. Which means another rollback or tech change will have to come. IMO they should just do more all at once. Rip off the bandaid. Great stuff from Golf Digest. Full read in next post.

Am I a fake trad? The '55 Holy Week just doesn't bother me all that much. Sure, the renewal of baptismal promises is kind of lame, and a lot of beautiful prayers and readings were removed — but it's not like the '55 rites constitute a new religion. The grass is always greener. Some people claim the 1911 breviary reforms of Pope Saint Pius X were Modernist. Where does it end? I stand with Pope Pius XII.
