A wildly under-discussed datapoint on Kentucky’s resume is their road win at Arkansas. Wildcats are the only team in the country to win at Bud Walton Arena this season (17 others tried and failed), and the Hogs have looked like world beaters at home. That is an exceptional win.

@ranchodelaluna Saw Furry at Memphis Memorial Stadium on July 4, 1975 when he opened for the Stones with J. Geils, The Meters and Charlie Daniels Band. Raw country blues with a couple funny, raunchy stories for good measure. The Stones were good to him.

when i was young, furry would let kids come to his house in memphis and play for us on his porch. he was fantastic. i also saw him open for the rolling stones during some girls tour at mid south coliseum.

Man In The Long Black Coat is one of my favourite songs to come from the Dylan/Lanois collaborations. It’s a coming together of both men’s greatest strengths. Lanois’ rich, atmospheric soundscapes and Dylan’s dense lyrics, cinematic in their imagery. It’s a great vocal 🧵

I am mesmerized by this recent release from Ezra Feinberg. It is the perfect balance between jazz, new age, and ambient; really dreamy and pleasant without being saccharine. I love it. This is gonna be a heavy autumn listen.
