Tons of trash takes about Ledger following the bug disclosure yesterday. Miniscript is a huge improvement for the safety of bitcoin wallets, and Ledger is the only company who cared implementing it so far. They deserve PRAISE for it, bugs are part of any development process.

I like Danksharding as a meme, but I think it was a mistake to stick with "sharding" as we pivoted away from execution sharding. What we are doing now is data availability scaling, and by not calling it that, many people still think enshrined sharded execution is on the roadmap.

This whole high fee situation has revealed that some otherwise strong and toxic guys are nothing but a bunch of authoritarian pussies who scream "DDOS ATTACK!" when people they don't like use Bitcoin in a way that they don't like. Bitcoin doesn't exist only to please you and your friends. If you don't respect other people's freedom of transactions, you can't expect others to respect yours. During a real nation state attack, these guys would probably wet their pants and run away... or else LARP about principles on Twitter to get one last dopamine hit from all the internet virtue points.

Fees on base layer Bitcoin were always guaranteed to shoot up to $50 per transaction at some point. I was hoping by then we'd have altruistic miners subsidizing lightning open/close channels. This high fee environment helps us think about how to onboarding to LN efficiently.
